I basically installed it, put the english patches in (shit was still in Japanese, think I did them in wrong order, should follow the 1,2 and 3 on that post), installed the updates for the game and then reinstalled the english patch in right order. That's the most difficult one to get in my opinion. However you did do it wrong I'm afraid. The girl will only change to purple from the neutral blue status. If she's yellow she's on her way to lover status. You need to do a few blue bar actions to bump her down to neutral. Then you can start doing your purple bar actions. Be careful though, she could still turn yellow even if you only do purple bars.

It's not as necessary now due to the low amount of cards for any given search, but it's useful when you start getting a lot of results.
