How do I go about closing a match out? I main riktor, so I know it's not really my place as a character to pull through to the end of a match but I can't seem to close the deal when my team has an enemy inhibitor down, my team just never follows up with it and continue to go around deathballing.

Yeah Belica was a nice addition, had multiple gimmicks that no other hero did so far, and if leddit datamining is correct we'll probably get more such heroes in the near future.

I wouldn't count on a lot of kit reworks but that's solely my opinion. Gideon and Kallari's ability changes were probably an exception because the Sheev spin and DoT meteor were wonky placeholders that poorly fit their respective heroes.

They used to a long while ago, but not anymore. To restore your inhibitors, your team needs to kill the Prime Guardian (jungle boss), take his Prime Orb, and dunk it in the drop-off point on your half of the map. This will respawn all your inhibitors.

not that shill but once the "oh cool z-axis" novelty runs off, it's pretty easy to see how Smite is the superior game, as much as it pains me to say this.

Juking and boxing in Smite works way better in-general because gods and their skillshots don't move as slow as fucking molasses (although you can pull fun things with cliffs in Paragon). Paragon's travel mode has a million problems that have been talked about over and over. The equipment/deck system is utter garbage. The character and ability designs are all boring, even compared to Smite's original characters (you know it's bad when LITERAL phone mobas like Vainglory have cooler abilitysets).

Right now, Paragon only has its grafix going for it. I'm optimistic that the game will be quite good eventually once more heroes come out, they rework travel mode/hopefully just make everyone faster, and add card crafting, but it needs a lot of work right now. It'll be a far better spectator game, at least.

What does the deck system really offer? On paper it sounds okay. "You'll have to make choices as to what you want your character to do, and your opponent won't know what you have!"

But characters are limited as to what they can actually do, due to roles. If you could play Narbash as a tank, or a DPS, or a support, then that'd be cool and would allow strategy. But you can only really play him as a melee caster, so there's no real layer of thinking to it.

Limiting what items players can buy is hardly a good thing. Awesomenauts dropped that system for a reason.

Narbash can be built as straight tank or damage tank and someone out there in diamond is actually making his health regen work as a health Regen support

Theres Alot of different way you can take most of the characters, So far the only limited options I see are Rangers since CRIT no longer does shit and you basicly have to build Armor and energy pen

At lower levels it'll end in miscommunication between players. At higher levels, it'll encourage cheese because you may not have access to all the counter cards you might need.

The only reason for this system is "well shit we need to give them some form of progression if we're giving them all the heroes because people need their skinner boxes".

In the interest of educating /parag/ shitters and generating discussion I think that there should be a guide in the OP, especially since a vast majority of players up through gold league don't understand mechanics and basic strategy. I'll start with shit that you HAVE to know:

>best team composition is typical MOBA fare, mid lane caster, red lane carry (ranger) and support (both support mages and tanks like Riktor and Steel), blue lane fighter or caster
>don't push lanes early. Focus only on last hitting. Start pushing later on when you're ready to take towers, or if you're leaving a lane and you want to keep it safe until you get back
>don't solo push as a carry or support/tank
>your job as support/tank is to first and foremost keep your team safe. Stay on them like flies on shit. Your second job is setting up kills
>learn to use the comms system for fuck's sake
>carry starting items are health potion+damage token+ward/another token, depending on hero and compositions of teams
>mid laner starting items are health+mana+health token/defense token/zap juice/bump juice (alternatively, if having extra casts isn't as important and you just want to farm longer, a circlet of health) (also alternatively, a 3-point shadow ward. Few players start with these so they will probably be safe until after you recall)
