The problem is that Blazblue's mechanics do not reward characters with Bullet's playstyle.

You need to be right in front of your opponent. Okay, good. Too bad you have the worst forward dash in the game (without H2). Instead we'll give you decent defensive tools. You have a reversal (with the smallest hitbox). You get a great AA (no horizontal range). And we'll give you a 720 (no invuln and needs at least H1 to make you respect it). Oh, and you have to give up oki and damage to build up your heat.

Bullet has the same problems Tsubaki had until CF (and CS2 to a lesser extent). A rushdown character that has to give up that rushdown to have the potential for damage. Thrives on rotd, but you're not rewarded until you are in a certain state. And to achieve that state, you can't rotd.

At least she's sexy.

Snowtown gets a bad wrap because apparently it creates lag or input delay or something, but Celica thinks the snowmen on that stage are cute so in my opinion Snowtown is a good stage.

The main problem with Bullet is that she's momentum-based. ASW is really bad with this. Again, see Tsubaki until CF. OUtside of BB, see Labrys, Unfortunately, Bullet has pretty piss-poor oki. And when she has the opportunity, you probably have to sacrifice that for Heat.

She is AMAZING with H2. The problem is that she's garbage without it. And I understand that's the point, but that's also the problem. You have a rtsd character that frequently has to abandon that.

I play Labrys, not as bad as people make her out to be, but I digress.

But you see that's the point, you're not doing it for extra damage you're doing it to kill the person the next time you touch them, it's how Azrael uses rapids to apply two weakpoints in one combo.

From round start position with a rapid I can carry them to the corner and get two heat up levels, and lord knows this shit isn't optimal (fuck that J.B J.Croute I don't feel like grinding it out ;-;) and does like 3.3k, and considering the next hit will do at least 5k meterless, I think that damage is fine, but eh I don't know the most optimal bullet corner routes.

Her oki is bad sure, but her pressure is pretty great, with multiple pressure resets that all lead to BIG DAMAGE if you catch a fool mashing, and 5B going into an overhead, a low, pressure reset, and jump cancel she does have options while on the offensive.

And while she does sacrifice heat up level for damage, I don't know any combo outside of ones that end with rage aggressor that don't give at least one heat-up level back in return.

Litchi is a self-centered, hypocritical bitch. Roy only turned himself into an insane man-eating monster because he was trying to prove he was better than Kokonoe. She then protected him and helped him escape those trying to kill him, meaning she didn't give a shit about all the people that he ate while running around town. She acted like she cared about that monster's victims, but that was only because he was trying to use them to find him. She did all that even though at a moment of sanity Roy begged her to just let him die already.

The problem is that almost every character doesn't have to work for that "next time." Each time is that "next time," but they're working for a FC, not a knock down that lets them build heat.

This is the problem. She doesn't even get to play oki unless she's H2. If she's not, she needs to get that H2, even if in the corner. You mentioned her terrible mixup so I won't go into that. But why mash against Bullet? You can block until she's forced to use her AWFUL command grabs.

I don't main Bullet, but she's a bad character. ASW, for some reason, is bad at balancing these momentum characters. I do main Labrys in P4U2 who, really, are similar characters. Subpar neutral but can kill you with the right circumstance. But at least Labrys has oki. Pretty good too.

Her schtick doesn't require backing off to power up to become threatening. Bullet's does. Bullet is garbage at H0 and H1. She's great at H2. The problem is that you might be at H2 ~15% of the time.

Her neutral is literally one of her problems! She has a slow 5a that can maybe catch deep jump-ins. 5b has range, sure, but she gets nothing except 2a+b into oki for it. Her 2b is an okay AA, but, again, Persona gives every character an AA, and her AA is nothing special. Her best normal is jB which is VERY good. Too bad jumping is a bad idea in Persona. 5c can also be tricky.

How can you look at the rest of the cast and say Labrys' neutral is anything more than mediocre? Sure, it's better than Junpei, and Kanji, but there's a reason S. Labrys is picked. She can cover it up with her Persona.

And here's where I know that you're missing my point. Red Axe Labrys is dangerous. Blue/green Axe (where you spend most of your time) is not. Labrys, by P4's system, has carry-over. The best option, with few exceptions, is to 236236C if you're not going to win the match. You want that carry-over, Blazblue doesn't offer that option.

People play slab because she has great pressure. But that pressure, AND OKI, comes from her persona, not the middling normals of Labrys. Just look at Bananaken.

I expect the next two or so weeks of /blaz/ posing will be pretty bad, with barely any matches, since a lot of the more dedicated players already have the CF demo and don't want to go back to CPEX.

We weren't talking about Oki, but if you want to okay, with String you meaty them on wakeup then string hits so you can start pressure, Labrys can do easy fuzzies because of big fukken downward angled air normals, and her stagger pressure IS good. Hell just basic gattlings she has tons of options with 5B being backdash AND forward dash cancelable, going into 2B which is jump cancelable which gattlings into 2C and 5C with 2C being dash cancelable.

If it was based on what happened in his fight with Ragna, Terumi would have failed then and there because the opening was fucking attoseconds small and Ragna didn't even kill him during that fight. Terumi had Relius kill him in preperation of what Ragna was to do to Mu.

Are you kidding me. In the story mode it's explicity stated that Ragna feels fine after he moves away from Celica, then he fights Terumi and Terumi fucks him up.
In the arcade mode, Celica doesn't appear near them until Tager brings her in.
And furthermore, Celica weakens Terumi as well, so even if that were the case, it would have been a fight Terumi won with the same handicap.

You know thinking about it. I think Mori is going to make Naoto the butt of everyone's joke so that he can put a more serious focus on Ragna to finish his story. At the very least I feel like Naoto is going to redirect a lot of the shit that Ragna takes to Naoto himself.
