Seems it is somewhat linked to the nav mesh, on ctf_doublecross the train tracks block build, but when I step outside the map where there are no nav meshes I can build on the tracks just fine.
Doesn't like any ramps, but I think that's because of the clip brushes. I think mainly you can't build on any clip brushes anymore. Next shot'l show that

i don't get the term "tryhard." like, usually when i see it, it's just being used because someone is really good at the game and carrying their team with like a pocket medic or something. but that doesn't seem like a tryhard to me, that's just someone who's good. so would a tryhard be more of someone who intentionally exploits broken weapons (cola, dds) in order to gain an unfair advantage? or is it more reserved for specific situations like killing friendlys? i just avoid the term altogether, it's too confusing.

I don't even notice the difference, I just hate that it is so fucking incredibly slow to navigate maps. The infinite cloak while standing still can be cool to look for a chance to fuck up that engi at last, but it's like it doesn't belong in the fast paced action of tf2, scouting in comp not withstanding.

At the open areas you only have to trust your disguise, at dark or narrow spots are where you should activate the cloak and cut the corners to save time. It requires map discipline about where you can do large turns with cloak on without bumping anyone, and where can you hide ahead.
An advanced technique is sticking to team colored walls and change the disguise team-color accordingly, so when you flicker or exhaust the cloak you'll be harder to see from far as you'll blend in. If your cloak flickers and they're close by, backpedal or crouch. You can use high ledges to juke the chasers by giving away a flicker then hiding clutching up to a wall.

I feel this is why kd ratio is only a partial gauge of skill. Kpm is usually a better indicator. It's too easy to baby your way to a high kd and have a Kpm of like 0.3 or something. Someoje good might only be 3.0 kd but have 1.5-2 Kpm. Or like the snipers with the permanent vacc medic on their ass.

That's why you don't get in melee fights with a Spy. There are videos about how Spy gets to abuse hitboxes. General knowledge is hugging a Spy is bad, but backpedalling once you hugged him is equal as bad; because backpedalling makes your hitbox fall before you and they can abuse it by circling you.
If he hugged you keep him at your sights and bodyblock him. Do not try to strafe for long just tap left and right and try to block him by moving forward. Damaging him enough would force him to retreat and try or switch to revolver which buys you abit of time

Bots are fucking retarded and don't move like real people. They can't rocket jump, they can't double jump, they don't sticky spam. Pyro bots are about the same, desu, they get some sick reflects. Engineer bots are fucking retarded as well, they only build in predesignated spots and sit there whacking away until they get blown up, they don't react to stickies being placed in their nest. I suppose practicing against bots would be a semi-decent way of learning the more popular maps without embarrassing yourself, and getting a handle on the most basic playstyle of every class, but they're no real substitute for actual human players.
