I have insane luck in BE. I started when they were doing the 10 tickets for free and I started with things like Vaan, Terra, Exdeath, Kefka, and Golbez and I saved the rest when I saw these 5 were basically godlike compared to the 3 stars my friends were getting like Saban. Then I saved and only pulled again during the last event where Locke and Leo were rated up and I got : Leo, locke, garnet, wol, 2 vivi, garland, and galuf.

Idk if ill get Chizuru but even if I dont this game has already given me so much with no heart ache.

My friend laughed at me when I pulled Galuf and Vivi because those are the worst units I pulled and they aren't even that bad.

This doesn't matter to JP anymore since they can only draw units at their base rarity and the rates aren't biased towards shit characters like Sabin, but characters that get a 5* buff can't be drawn at 5*. When Krile gets her 5* she will still only be available in the gacha as a 3-4* unit with the same common 3-4* rates as before.

Yes, always do this over selling them or using them for spare XP.

Eventually you're going to want to update ability LV of high tier cards, but to do that you'll need to augment lower tier cards with the same ability to 3* before fusing, but the higher an ability LV the more % it gives to up another cards LV during fusing.

Ideally, you want to augment as many lower tier cards to 3* as soon as possible, but until you do make sure to get as many maxed LVs as possible, because once augmented the lesser versions won't affect the LV anymore.

You can get screamroots 5.5% of the time if you do Lanzelt explorations. (1% to get minitaur, 50% chance of being root + 1% bonus drop for each 100% TM unit)

Other than the fixed Quartz in each area, you only have an 0.5% chance of getting it regularly.
Combined with the fact that good Fat Chocobo items can cost HUNDREDS of quartz, you have no reason to ever prioritize roots.

Holy shit this fight was nuts in the early stages. I panic cast so many Walls just out of insurance. Maria's Song stacking with Flames of War meant Edge/Seifer shitting out damage after DEF debuffing. Had to bring three Cure spells just to out heal his damage which was a first for me.

I don't feel convinced still. What is the main source of star quartz later, events? Additionally, if better items are continually added there then if you blow it on something and some better stuff comes soon then months (a year?) of saving is wasted. It could be likened to pulling characters, but star quartz is way more rare so I wouldn't say it's the same situation. In summary, I am leaning toward screamroots as the cost to benefit ratio seems to be far greater.

I don't even have all the espers lol.

Quartz is always extremely rare.

It's pretty much a fixed number, with the amount from events and minitaurs adding barely anything. The more you get the better, because the best endgame gear comes from the Fat Chocobo.

There are less than 5 good chests in the entire game (including JP), which means we have at least 6 months before getting roots become useful. (And even then they're only ever "good," not great)

Remember, the Fat Chocobos also change as new islands are released, so they'll likely have EVEN BETTER rewards as time goes on than they already do.
