Doing the Iddah stuff was actually easiest thing to do, though I still need to do the icons. The trait forces the woman not to marry for a time, depending if she's pregnant, widowed or just divorced. Iddah doesn't happen if you divorce and have absolutely no children.

What could be done to improve crusade AI in CK2? Jihads end up winning 75+% of the time because it's usually one caliphate that can raise huge stacks, but for crusades it ends up being a bunch of 1-10k stacks constantly disembarking and getting kicked back into the sea a week later. It's one of the worst mechanics in the game, even though it's in the fucking title of the game. Thoughts, /gsg/?

The position obviously needs an eunuch and it's a full time position, so no rulers of any kind.
Without it the harem is not considered to be secured and isolated.

Not even your courtiers can seduce them, though I didn't stop normal events that might create lovers. I'd like to leave a small chance of it happening, but stop specific targeting like the AI does.

As a ruler though, you can still seduce anyone in your court. You still command the eunuchs. If you want to seduce someone in someone's else court, you will need to assassinate the eunuch guard.

Since getting eunuchs is kinda random, I might have to do something about creating eunuchs out of captives.

Well you can just ask that guy on the corner to castrate one of your prisoners, usually the proceeding was done by physicians. True in that the PLAYER doesn't have to interact with them to change the outcome, but that isn't saying much unless you're playing a major nation. I don't have any screenshots, but I know I've had a spanish war last until early 1939. With the Spanish it seems to be up to what the germans do in terms of volunteers, and with the chinese it depends on what the soviets do.
And to answer your question yes, the japanese getting pushed out of asia usually happens at about 39-40. It's almost always a result of a failed naval invasion on Nanjing, leaving their forces up north to get overrun through their puppet who's name I forget.

The balance is a total joke. A quick fix would be to have 2 different World Tension meters: one for fascism, and one for communism. If the communists start a lot of wars, then democracies will only be able to enter into wars against them, instead of the fascists.

Also, winning 1 war against a regional power like Czechoslovakia shouldn't spike world tension up by 50 points. That just makes it so that as soon as the first couple wars are over, it's 100% tension and everything falls into chaos by the end of 1936.

Also, the Nationalists winning the civil war shouldn't spike world tension up by 30-40 points.

I honestly fail to see any reason why HOI4 shouldn't have just been an updated version of Darkest Hour, with a new engine better graphics and ai, and a few more user friendly/intuitive systems.

Would anyone else like tags for North Italy/South Italy in HPM? Just finished a save where Italy didn't form until 1885 via the gutter crown and SP didn't join effectively dividing it for the rest of the game. Also it could be used in dismantling, as Italy doesn't become as interesting like Germany or Russia does.
