Watching a lot of Izanami footage and it seems most don't use her float in combos much at all. Actually most just stick to ground most of the time and only use the float for mobility or a few select combos (mostly corner carry combos).

Maybe because the float combos are just really inconsistent?

Like you said, it's mostly for corner carry. She can do full-screen corner-to-corner screencarry with float, it gets really ridiculous at times. I think her float combos aren't always universal which might be why.

I just got time to start playing the demo last night, so I haven't had too much practice yet. I was having a lot of problems with the float combos though. I think it's a combination of janky aerial hurtboxes, falling targets, and not having the rising/falling momentum to follow your opponents that you normally have in air combos.

So I have a JLF harness, and only one end of the wire has the connector, the other end has just bare wires. Both my PCB and the joystick have a slot for the exact same connector, am I supposed to get a spare connector and fucking solder the wires into it? Am I missing something here? If you plan on doing future modifcation. Buy a soldering iron. You'll be able to fix wall plugs with it when they die.

Leadless solder won't poison you as much but is not as robust.
Normal solder. Don't breathe this. Pretty strong.
Allways wet the sponge, holy fuck.
Allways apply enough to cover flat. Don't leave large balls of solder.
Wear eye protection. Because while most old as fuck vets will tell you its stupid you never know when you're gonna fuck up.
Remember to buy wire covers and shethes for like kurkwa pennies. Because the first sin of wiring is leaving an uncovered wire.

Practice on some spare wire. Make some daisy chains for grounding or somthing, then you don't have to buy any chains yourself if you ever want to build a stick from scratch.

soldering is easy as fuck and hard to mess up. youd have to push down on the pcb and leave it there to fuck up. you basically just touch it and it melts. little blob and you done. looks like some finesse based thing, and there is some talent to doing it so it looks good, but it will work even with the messiest fuck ups possible. even if you think its bad and want to try again, just touch it, wipe with a napkin and youll have a mostly clean spot again.

Do what's comfortable.

When you go to a tournament, play as your sub with the stick and then when things start heating up you switch to pad hidden in your bad with your main. They'll call you the Multi-Controller, the guy who brings two controllers to tournaments.

The easier method is what your describing. Hard soldering the wires to the stick would just make them a painful to remove later.

Besides that other guy was just saying he isn't as bad as people say, which is also what I'm saying: he has good meterless damage anywhere on screen including 3.7k from an overhead. His specials are decent callout tools on zoners/some setups and his rekka special sees some use on frametraps with fuckhuge damage, of course only really works with meter. Also good meterless DP.
He's like a sidegrade gimmick Ragna. He gets more damage, different use tools in exchange for worse pokes and higher execution barrier.

After the netplay weekend I fully realized...
The hibiki army is real. Holy shit you think it will be all nines but no, hibiki is the one that I saw the absolute most out of all of my matches played. Probably out of every 10 matches I had 6 of them were hibiki. I did see nine here and there, and a rare izanami, but mostly it was that attack on titan ripoff that was everywhere I went.

Resourceless, every character does more damage than Hakumen.
Celica has high average damage but it drops off quickly because she doesn't have any real ways to convert resources into more damage aside from tacking on a super at the end of a combo.
Apparently Hakumen had his damage toned down in this version but he still has his crazy touch of death combos off certain confirms.

Hakumen is lucky to do 4k with optimal starter. If he gets a retard that eats a 6c, he can do more. His OD combos with optimal starter and full resources are lucky to hit 6k. his avg combo for 2 to 3 tama is 3k dmg. Can he do a 10k dmg combo? yes, but its not like a simple 5c antiair into od for 8k or any touch into as much meter as he wants to spend like in cpex. more meter just spends more meter in cf and your combo still ends up doing 3k.
