When's the last time you looked at /tesg? They attack basic questions and waifu posting is king. Unless your character fits their tastes several of them fill a thread with their own posts or drama in the modding community. None of them even know how to create mods when it comes down to it.

We went a few rounds with easy bots so he could get the hang of things, a few rounds with medium bots so he could learn a bit more and have a bit more of a challenge, and after a few rounds of nothing but wins, I convince him to try hard bots.

I'd never tried hard bots before, I hopped into quick play asap since I bought Overwatch on launch and wanted to play against equally unskilled opponents, so this was a bit of a shock to me: They're great. I'm not saying they perform exactly like players or that they're not exploitable, but for a difficulty curve it's absolutely perfect.

The bots would storm and hold objectives, flank, and target rather well. Not referring to aimbotting, I mean they'd generally kill supports first and then try to kill the rest of us. They used their ults well and occasionally in tandem, and AI Zarya bubbles were intensely on-point. Some games even have a double Zarya double Lucio comp, which were particularly difficult.

As an experienced player, I found myself decently challenged against the bots, and my friend was having quite the time learning how to survive in the mess of rampaging AI. I come from games like League of Legends, who's bot AI are generally terrible and don't do well, so once again seeing well done bots was quite a nice surprise indeed. My friend and I look forward to playing against these bots more in the future... At least until he's ready for Quick Play
