I've been trying to summon my wife on Ds2 for two weeks now and it doesn't work at all. We have identical Soul Level and Memories, both were human, wearing name engraved ring, bosses were present, bonfire intensity identical, neither of us in covenant of champions. Sellsword are better in almost every way.
They're pure dex weapons, and one of the few weapons in the game that's better off sharp than refined (no need for str investment at all) and they end up with higher AR by a solid margin for less investment while also having better attack modifiers.

Warden's have bleed, and with rouge they can ALMOST instableed with an L1->WA combo, but not quite. However, they're primarily quality-ish weapons and thus require either a 40/40 investment or some stat bloated str+dex+luck hollow build, and still end up with less AR than sellsword. They also have lower modifiers on their L1s so even with the same AR they do less damage than sellsword. They basically rely 100% on their ability to bleed targets, which also relies 100% on you applying rouge before every fight. Bleed is very easy to counter, thus the warden blades are not very good against competent opponents.

Tsorig's ring is a Loyce Knight Ring that deals more stamina damage to enemies with their shields raised. The Stone Ring just does poise damage. So he looted Tarkus' armor, went to 2 DLCs, only completed one of them most likely, and shows up to kick our ass.

This fight was cool but also very easy, it took me like a dozen tries to beat the Abyss Watchers and I beat this on my first try without even proccing tears of denial. Is it because I had a blessed weapon?

I was also getting this yellow effect and sound around my character like I had just used the heal miracle but I only had replenishment and tears of denial active, anyone know what was up with that?

A buff is only worthwhile if you go up to 60. At 30 it's barely better than a resin, which means it's adding like single-digit damage in pvp.

Buffed sellswords are a dead meme, though. There was a bug that let their multihit attacks abuse buff damage but they fixed it. The only reason you'd bother with a buff now is because they're so stat efficient that if you're going up to 120, there's nothing else to spend points on.

It's pretty good. On a quality 40/40 build it gets 550 AR plus another 80 when the WA buff is up, making it more powerful than some UGS while unlike UGS, being able to stunlock well. The downside is that it DOES deal split damage, which diminishes the effectiveness a little.

The WA is also incredible in the current roll spam meta because the hitbox lingers a long time and if you unlock it easily destroys roll spam fags
