Your 3-1 combo is strong. The slowness of his 3 makes it easier to dodge but it's pretty damned wide so try to take advantage of that. Like point-blanking it. Remember that your 2 gives different effects based on quadrant. When you reach the latgame, you should literally be only using your 4th quadrant unless you're fleeing and can pop the 1st quadrant for some healing. The official FAQ's state it's only level 4.5 you get to with quests, hindu said it during patch notes too. But datamining shows you can get to level 7 with the math behind the quests.

Either hirez made a mistake during patch notes + on the website, or the values of the quests will be adjusted when they go live and some quests will pay out less than others, rather than them all showing 500op like they are.

I have to argue that somewhat, Anon. Sometimes you can have the absolutely most amazing team and nearly claim a tower or two in return, only for a situation where the enemy manages to repulse your team and claim your towers. I'm a bit drugged up on my nightly medications, but I hope what I am trying to convey is getting through. Even if it is in the first ten minutes, most situations are at the least contestable. It's more about your teams kits and levels, combined with callouts and luck. At the same time though, if multiple people are feeding and acting like you have already lost, it can often be a good time to just surrender.

With guardians you usually won't have a 'set build' because part of your job is building to counter the enemy.
Terra has a few niche items that work well for her though. My typical build usually ends up looking like:

Watcher's Gift > Shoes of Focus > Lotus Crown > Bulwark of Hope > Breastplate of Valor > Rod of Asclepius
Then sell Watcher's Gift for either Ritual Dagger or Spirit Robe.

The buff from Lotus Crown is most effective early game, and it will be of more use to your team than your slow-starting heal. It also gives you some magic power, protection, and mana regen. Just about everything you need. Bulwark gives HP, CC reduction, and its invaluable shield. (Though you'll want to switch this out with Pestilence to counter an enemy healer.) Breastplate will boost the weak physical defense you gain from Lotus Crown, and give a huge boost to CDR. Asclepius grants additional HP, power, and boosts your healing. It also grants a movement bonus, which is important for guardians. You need to be able to get where you're needed most, and fast.

To finish, Ritual Dagger dagger is best used for going on the offensive. It grants additional HP, tops off your CDR, and gives an additional boost to move speed as well as an attack speed boost, which pairs nicely with Terra's passive. It also increases the duration of your relics. It's great with Sprint (especially if you have teammates which lack a dash) and Curse, which will bog down enemies for a long time and make finishing them off much easier. While Spirit Robe also tops off CDR, it gives further protection and CC reduction, as well as damage mitigation.

Other finishing items could also be Midgardian Mail against physical heavy teams or out of control hunters, or Void Stone against primarily magic using teams. It gives a further boost to your magic power, and also pairs well with an auto attack mage like Sol or Chronos. Most often though I find myself using one of the first two.

Happy to help, Terra's tricky to use.

For a few tactical tips, remember to save your dash; crashing into your stones at the right moment is vital. Usually you'll want to keep your Monolith in heal mode as long as possible, as it will help your team hold their ground. Enemies will also be hesitant to enter, knowing you can crash it at anytime and root them. Dropping Monolith on a fleeing ally is also good way to cover their escape. They'll get a bit of healing and the Lotus buff. The enemy will usually break their pursuit, and if they don't, you can crash the monolith and root them, allowing your ally to flee unharassed.

Crushing earth can also be used to stop a pursuit, but it's harder to aim at moment's notice. I've had better luck using it to cover your initiator in a team fight or halting a fleeing enemy. It's also fantastic for covering your own escape. If you drop it in your path, the enemy will either have to go around, or risk running through, in which case they'll be slowed or possibly stunned if you can close it on them.

Monolith is also good for facilitating an escape. Drop it in your path and crash it, which will then let you dash again, and give you the added bonus of possibly catching your pursuer in a root.

Knowing when to drop your ult is also important, as it can be used for so many things. It grants a significant speed boost, max CDR, removes all mana costs on abilities, AND a heal if enough damage is taken. Since it affects all of your allies, no matter where they are, learn to keep an eye on your team. The speed boost can help a distant fleeing ally make their escape, or help someone chase down a weakened foe. Earlier in the game, you'll probably be using it for one of these reasons. Late game though, the free mana cost and healing is HUGE for team fights. If you drop it right before initiating, chances are your team is gonna win the fight.
