Haven't tried it but from what I hear it's about as random as HS in places, but the game design prevents a lot of archetypes from the start (poor draw and 50 card deck size).

First expansion of 2017 will cycle out BRM, TGT and LoE. It's gonna be a huge shock to the meta and a lot of decks will die; aggro shaman will be dead, tempo mage will take a big hit, warrior will lose bash and alex' champion... They don't need to upgrade anything, they haven't with Karazhan. Most current tier 1 decks will probably not exist anymore.

It's common knowledge. They announced their plans for set rotation back February or whenever it was they announced standard. Only the expansions from most recent two years will stay legal for standard, the rest cycle out.

Remember there is still an expansion coming in 2016 and the first expac of 2017 will cycle cards out, so while you lose a lot of cards you also gain a lot.

Animations seem to run at about 10 fps which takes away a lot from the presentation.

Seems like a generic mix of HS and MTG, but could be interesting if it can offer more depth than HS.

I just hope they will improve the animations. Everything looks stiff, in HS even the end turn button does a nice little flip and has a satisfying sound to it. Good audiovisual feedback is KEY.

you dont really need an s tier deck to be competitive. But still if you reroll a bit for the legendaries, liquify literally everything for every other class and craft your shit you can actually make a complete path to purgatory forestcraft deck within one hour and thats a 22.000 vial deck. There's even a video tutorial on youtube floating around demonstrating it.

If you want to branch out you'll have to be a bit more patient but its not too bad if you're smart with your liquifes. I have a PtP only account on the side where i dick around with that deck and on my main i just finished a midrange swordcraft deck worth 35k vials and my spell rune deck is just missing one merlin and I just started playing like a week ago. You get so many free arena runs from single player and achievements that's easily another 10 free packs. If you dont mind juggling accounts you can do like one account per class kind of shenanigans but its hardly needed.

Something like if you know the enemy has a Yogg deck, you either save your resources and use them after yogg was dropped or you force your enemy to yogg early.
He also said that yogg forces the enemy to build a deck around him, which is blatantly false. Any deck with 5 or more spells can use a yogg.
He also, in other vidoes, said how Sylvanas is a counter to him, which kinda is and isn't true.
While yes, if yogg kills sylvanas, you get the yogg and all the spells that are cast afterwards. But the problem is that you cast yogg while losing, not winning because it can backfire.
So using yogg in a winning position can fuck you up. But Sylvanas still lowers the chance of yogg fucking you over so it kinda is a counter play.
Other things people said is how people only remember when yogg cost them the game but not when it fucked up the user. This statement is idiotic at best. Yes, I don't bother remembering all the times Yogg has pyroblasted the enemy's face because they never fucking play him when they are winning. They play him when they are losing so Yogg finishing them off literally didn't change the game at all.

I remember comeback mechanics were a hot topic in fighting games a few years ago. Because they were a way to reward the player who let himself get into a disadvantageous position and discredit the careful player who edged out a dozen minor victories throughout a game.
That's basically what Yogg is: a comeback mechanic (ie. a single thing that invalidates defining decisions/actions of a match), and the RNG part of it is just the cause of what it does.

Main thing that's bothering me atm is the control priest and to some extent warrior matchups. Priest having 2x entombs and potentially thoughtstealing anyfins. That is not the problem with Warrior.

The problem is that every class has something they don't do very well, a weak spot, but Warrior doesn't. It has literally everything, strong early mid and late game, excellent removal, card draw, survivability up the ass, AoE, you fucking name it.
