The pro has me pretty disillusioned with console vidya desu. I have both a PS4 and middle of the line computer and there's practically no situation where I can see myself buying a pro (or any new iteration of PS4) over say a new video card. Plus whenever a potential PS5 rolls around there'll always be precedence for sony shitting on "early" adopters with the pro.

That being said it still does happen to have a handful of games I want to play, so until yakuza and gust games get ported to pc (also gravity rush 2 and TLG but besides those it feels like sony's first party is drifting more and more away from what I like) I'm stuck supporting this retarded company.

If consoles didn't exist it wouldn't make videogames any cheaper to make, creating games that can fully use an expensive PC is itself extremely expensive. Nevermind the fact that only a fraction of the market actually has a high end PC in the first place.

Unless there is some sort of groundbreaking new way of designing games invented development times are only going to increase, or require even more people. I can just imaginein twenty years time, 5 year dev cycles and 1000 staff working on one game to be the norm for AAA titles.

Dragon Quest Builders has been out in Japan since like January, why is it so hard to find information about it?

Whenever I try finding any info about it I just get shitty news about the western release and shitty "first 20 minutes" footage of stuff I already did in 5 minutes with the Japanese demo.

I want to know how many materials are in the game, how much equipment is in the game, what free build mode is like, how many enemies there are, etc.
Why is this so hard to find?

I often hear anons complain about having some massive backlog, but if playing a game is that much of a chore that you can't even focus on it for more than an hour, it isn't worth it.
