Literally the only thing that interests me about Andromeda at this point is the possibility that I may find an email or something detailing what happened to Shepard, Tali, Wrex, Garrus, Javik, Liara, and the rest after the Reapers were destroyed. Didn't one of the Dragon Age games do something like that, letting you pick previous choices and then vaguely referencing them later?

Got entire team killed, literally minutes away from dying without Shepard's intervention.

If "kills a lot of enemies" is all that it takes to be considered a success, Tali apparently killed more geth in the first game than Garrus did. Or at least she did on Ilos. Plus a fair number of Cerb operatives and pirates, most likely. Then spent the two years between ME1 and ME2 running numerous missions against the geth, which is how she managed to send a company's worth of geth parts back to the fleet and how part of how she managed to build up a reputation as a geth killer, before eventually becoming an admiral who is vital to the quarian-geth peace.

What exactly does Garrus accomplish without Shepard swooping in? Weeping around on the Citadel in the first game before becoming a vigilante and then dying?

Subsequently pulls her weight on-board the SR1 and kills a ton of mercs and geth (if you romanced either Garrus or Tali, their final conversation in ME3 will consist of them making bets on the body counts they'll rack up on Earth, which is apparently a regular thing for them; Tali says she won the wager they made about Ilos).

Runs numerous missions against the geth between 1 and 2, enough that she can have hundreds of platforms worth of geth parts sent back to the flotilla for experimentation (and she says she only sent parts back for big finds). Becomes the most prolific geth destroyer on the fleet (e.g. ambient dialogue in her loyalty mission includes stuff like "If anyone can clear the Aleri, Tali'Zorah can", and she's made a special advisor in anti-geth affairs in ME3 even if she was exiled in ME2).

If she survives Haestrom, participates in the suicide mission, and is one of only three people who has both a vital ship upgrade and an actual role on the mission that's not just shooting Collectors (though she does some of that too).

If her loyalty mission is done, becomes an admiral.

I don't think that's really a fair assessment. She doesn't really need bailing out much more than anyone else, and has a good list of accomplishments.
