The alternate Doomhammer appearance you get for finishing tte Shaman campaign is fucking incredible.

Looks so good in game with the crackling lightning, and the lightning axe offhand.

The Resto artifact, which is the one I am actually leveling, looks slightly bigger and has more water particles. Guess that's okay too.

Why the actual fuck does Explosive trap not ignite tar trap for AoE and fix one of SVs most glaring problems? It's synergy, it would be effective, and it would be cool. It seems so fucking obvious to me as a design. Or am I just fucking stupid?

How are mages doing this xpac?

So I tried going to the discord for my class that everyone says to go to, but they were a bunch of toxic cunts, even moreso than 4chan is.

All I want to know is how long it takes to get revered with the Court of Farondis so I can get the hidden artifact for my marks hunter that i'm leveling up. From my own research, it seems if I do every quest in the zone I should end with Honored, and the rest needs to be gained through dungeon farming and world quests or something. But since I haven't hit 110 yet, I have no idea how much rep the world quests give nor how much I get for dungeons.

Can /wowg/ lend a helping hand?

It truly is suffering being a hunter main since vanilla in this expac. Survival is a shitshow with no AoE capacity, BM some how found a way to be even more boring, and MM has no pet and old SV leftover abilities thrown in.

On one hand I don't want to leave behind my oldest character, partly because grinding 70 exalted reputations was a fucking struggle, but I also hate what it has become. I might just go to my DK or roll a WW monk.

But God damn it those reputations are going to annihilate my ocd every time I look at my faction page...

Survival feels so slapped together. It's like a Frankenstein of warrior, rogue, and kitty druid. Yeah it's great single target, but the whole thing feels like a rush job afterthought. Even the artifact ability is just a monk's FoF.

Did they speed up WoD leveling any? WoD was so shit I only ever leveled two characters past 90. I want to play them now but only if I can do like 5+ levels a day and blow through Draenor without feeling much of it.

With Havoc the devil is in the details. On paper the baseline rotation is braindead but the thing is that to do slightly above average damage you go momentum which requires buff uptime through a unique system of movement and that's more than you can say for a lot of shit.

It's not calculus or anything but to actually milk what Havoc has to offer you have to be aware of how things are playing out. Optimal DPS has you swinging around the dungeon like a monkey and shittier players will pull mobs or retreat into aoe and other shit. Even the defensive cooldowns require positioning or deciding if meta is better now or when things shit the fan (if you don't take leech meta you're crazy you can facetank bosses as havoc for that entire twenty seconds despite white attacks chunking you down to 50% each swing since you heal to full each time).

I leveled one first to cap since shiny new toy but I'm turned off playing it. It feels okay to do that but it's way too much setup and work for what amounts to whatever dps.

I'm sorry but the resto Shammy artifact has to be the worst looking one. The upgraded appearance is only marginally better. It looks goofy, the recolours are not even options because they change the water colour, and the shield has massive issues with floating off your arm without a visual indication (making it look intended).

The raid appearance that makes the shield into floating stones, and the pvp appearance, are both pretty neat though.

Warning for those who want to become a Demon Hunter

If you choose your specialisation as Vengeance, then you MUST choose the Vengeance artifact weapon. I wanted to be a tank (havoc spec) but chose the vengeance artifact because it looked cooler and I liked the ability more.

By choosing that weapon, it re-spec'd me to Vengeance; I thought it odd so I switched back to Havoc, but when I got the glaives, it was the triumphant music and cutscen with my character voicing over, "I can't use that" lol. Now I'm DPS :(

I don't have the patience to create a new guy and re-do it all (even though it's just a few hours) for Havoc.

So yea, just a warning.

TLDR: You MUST choose the weapon of the spec you wish to use.
