It's not crazy if you bothered to try to understand how things work.

a9lh starts before the system boots. It launches Luma from your SD card
Luma write protects the storage that a9lh is on and launches sysNAND.

This means that even if you update sysNAND it can't overwrite a9lh. And since a9lh boots Luma from your SD card, that will still be there after the update as well. Nintendo could technically do some jiggery fuckery and cause your system to not boot, but then you'd just have to wait for an update to Luma, since you'd still have a9lh and be able to recover from a brick. Not that Nintendo would try that, since that type of thing is generally frowned on legally.

You will have to rebuild a new steroid.suprx and eboot.bin at the very least. If TheFloW doesn't make a convenient utility to do that (or someone else reverses Vitamin and makes one) then you will have to redump the games completely. There really aren't many other options than those, and putting faith in the one where TheFloW does something right is probably foolish.

Safe Mode is a flag that can be toggled in eboot.bin that will tell HENkaku to restrict privileged API calls from being used. The short of it is, Safe Mode prevents people from releasing malicious homebrew disguised as games to format your memory card or steal your PSN account, or potentially other creative things. If you get a nag screen saying that Safe Mode isn't enabled on a game you're trying to install (some homebrew might need it to be off, use your judgement there) then you should really, really use VPK Tool or something similar to turn the flag on before installing and launching the game.

Saying it's outside the realm of possibility because the rest of the team isn't around to clear it (when there is, theoretically, no preexisting license) is garbage.

Even then, all it would take is replacing the code (i.e. any code contributions by Tom removed and replicated accurately) under somebody else (TheFlow) then re-forfeited to the license.

Basically there's absolutely nothing stopping it from being open sourced other than legal pressure from Sony.

I got lucky and it was on 3.51. But it was $100 and I've wanted a vita for a while so I was willing to take the chance and maybe just have to buy games.

I'm having troubles playing SEGA 3D Classics Collection on an EUR n3DS running Luma+a9lh.

Whenever I boot the game, it says that an SD card isn't in the system, but there obviously is one since the game can run just fine. Because of this, it won't let me save/load ect...

How can I fix this?

why can't I install themes on my 3DS?
I have homebrew but extdata and CHMM2 don't work, they never install.

CHMM2 crashes instantly and I never can get past that. there is no settings file in the themes folder to delete.

extdata just won't install the theme and won't turn on persistent cache.
