This is so wrong. It's incredibly easy to get to diamond if you seriously master 2-3 champions that can play multiple lanes. Any one-trick worth their shit is at LEAST diamond. Don't have to hypercarry at all if you can snowball at least 2 lanes.

I got to diamond this season playing nothing but Yasuo and Lucian, with a few games of Bard and Lee Sin sprinkled in. Once I hit diamond I played matchups more and stuck to OP meta picks to get to D1.

Pick a champion that can mid/top, maybe support, and learn the fuck out of it. At the very least you should be able to get to Plat.
