I wasn't saying they were a replacement for horserider, they'd be the 3rd 3-drop in the deck beside SI and horserider. I feel like the deck ideally wants 6 3-drops and I've been trying to figure out the best one for awhile (from disiciple to fork to swarmer to wolfrider to perditions blade... it's tough figuring out which is best).

Thinking something along these lines right now. Ass blade has been a great finisher, makes me consider possibly running deadly poisons in all honesty, maybe even a 2nd ass blade. Against control decks it helps a ton to have the extra reach to get past healing, and against aggressive decks you can use it as removal as your minions hit face.

You have to just fill up the board, at least to a certain extent. The important thing is pressuring them as soon as possible (went for the turn 1 coin defias play for example) so they have as little time as possible to get their healing and board clears. At least, get in as much damage to face as humanly possible before they're forced to brawl, and even then you see I had follow up plays (why I love ass blade). Same problem happened to me while facing anyfin, I just gave them too much time because I was trying to play around AoE, they AoE'd me anyways and had enough time to get their forbidden healings so I just lost. You can't wait around against healy control decks. You can't give them the time to play all of their value cards. Ideally you want them to be dead with a hand full of cards they can't play.

The problem with Malch is that in classic CW, you're wanting that removal early. How many times have you not gotten Win Axe in your hand and had your arse handed to you?
It's not like opposite-Fel Reaver where the RNG of your card draws makes having those cards in your deck irrelevant. Because the cards you have in your deck are focussed towards a specific objective and having 5 additional ones that may or may not help that objective can only be assumed to dilute the deck.

That said, 5 cards isn't really all that many to warrant the hate Malch gets. If it was maybe 10 or so, then sure. But the point of what he does still stands. His "maybe" cards get in the way of your own "good" cards.

Just switched to wild - was back at rank 25 there. It's actually pretty fun, just playing whatever and not worrying about losing too much and dropping ranks.
