Has anyone looked at their overbuff percentile stats recently? I have a hard time believing their accuracy. My scores are all way too high, mostly in the 99th percentile (with some well over that).

As opposed to last season where my placement matches were against rank 60 players, and after I was awarded rank 42 (4-6) I continued to be placed with rank 60 players.

For me, I know I can play bastion and be effective every game. For you it might be another hero, but the principle is the same. I'm not saying you have to play only one hero, but if you are on the fence about who to pick, just play what you feel more experienced with.

Fuck, guys, I just don't know what to do with this game.

I really like the gameplay and I enjoy competitive FPSes, but my S2 winrate is at like 20% and it's just game after game where I'm sitting with all the golds while playing tanks or Zenyatta. Nobody will listen to me when I make suggestions for how we can win, they just keep running straight into the point one by one and dying over and over and over again.

I haven't had a team that could take the first point on attack in like 10 games now.

I tried DPSing, too, and then it was just a cycle of going in, getting a pick or two, and then realizing my whole team was dead around me.

Oh, and then there's the fact that I've lost four games to leavers this season, and haven't had a single enemy leaver. The one I just finished was especially painful because we held them into overtime 5v6 and then managed to push the cart halfway. We could've won it if that damn guy hadn't quit the second the enemies took the first point.

I was only 52 last season, but I played regularly with a high 60s/low 70s stack last season and they all considered me an integral part of the team and were in total shock that I wasn't at their rank. My stats on my main heroes last season were all top 10-20%, too.

I thought being stuck in the low 50s was bad, but it's nothing compared to 1900.

I'm not sure to what degree it matters, but if your team is better the game is high risk low reward.
The issue is with them making unbalanced teams. It is so stupid that they cap SR differential for partied teams but don't otherwise. Keep the bronze with the bronze, the GM with the GM and make matches worth playing.
The threat of season bans is the only thing stopping people from dropping out in every unbalanced game.

I've also been stuck with amazing stats and a 20% win rate before. The problem is that the stats don't really matter.
Even if you are the better player the enemy team can at some point combo all their ultimates and team wipe you.
If you're going to carry you need to play either a tank or support to give the shit players on your team the impunity they need to do their jobs. Often that means playing Lucio and just hanging out on the roof killing no one. Or a super defensive Reinhardt if you can convince them to use the shield.

The problem is that at this rank, I'm getting matched with DPSes that just fucking do nothing. I can usually carry pretty well on defense, but when it comes to attack, I really need them to be getting picks and dealing with threats, and they just don't do it.

It's just so damn frustrating, I keep pulling these epic hail mary clutch plays and nothing comes of them. Jump onto the payload when and wipe the enemy team when it's 1m from the finish, solo wipe everybody on the KOTH point and cap it in overtime, etc, but it all goes to naught as soon as I get killed.

Depends on who you are, what your team comp is, whether you can combo ults etc.

E.g. as Pharah you build your ult fast, you're best off using it to get 1-2 quick kills and getting back to building it back up. However if you've got a Zarya on your team that's looking to black hole, you're better off holding onto it.

If they're being wiped then they need better protection (or to get good, but that won't help you).
If they're being passive I find it is a good idea is to wait until they are in position and then start the fight yourself. It should inspire them to commit.

I finished last season at skill level 61 and placed 2900 this season I feel like I've hit a wall and my aiming feels like the main culprit.

Is there anything you can do to make the aiming feel smoother? As a long time CS player (was SMFC) in CS:GO when I stopped playing but something has always felt off with the aiming in Overwatch. For example I am great with an AWP in CS but absolutely horrible with Widowmaker in Overwatch the aiming has never felt right with her. I've played around with so much shit using fullscreen instead of borderless windowed, turning down graphics settings, v sync is off obviously as well.

My PC is a bit outdated and I keep reading its much smoother at higher framerates but I can get around 150-180fps on low settings. I can get around 60fps on mostly high but it feels much better at 150ish but still not right. I get 250-300fps on CS:GO though and it feels perfect.

Basically is there anything I can do to make the aiming smoother or am I basically stuck upgrading my PC to get a higher framerate?

Actually, though, as a fellow Zarya player, I'm gonna go way over 5 words and type out a wall of text, because I see a lot of frustration with her.

First of all, the easy way is focus fire. You have plenty of time to kill me between orbs, and if I'm ducking away every time I'm on cooldown, I'm not being an effective Zarya. If your team isn't coordinated, keep an eye on me and finish me off when your random teammate has already damaged me.

The thing about Zarya is that she's insanely strong when she's charged up and in the fight, but that doesn't make her as OP as people seem to think. I might be tearing shit up, but there's a good chance that I'm what's keeping my team in the fight, and if you kill me, you'll probably wipe the rest of my team pretty quickly. Zarya's charge is also her Achilles' heel, because it basically means that it takes her twice as long to be combat effective again after dying. She's only strong when she's snowballing, stop that and she stops being very effective.

It's a mix of both, and a few other things.

They're not really getting focused, in fact they often lose 2v1s. I get matched with a ton of people who insist on playing aim-focused characters despite not being able to aim. People just don't hold up their end in teamfights.

Another thing that happens a lot is that my whole team focuses one enemy and they all get wiped by a Bastion or Torb or something, and somehow just keep doing the same thing over and over again and thinking that it'll change next time for some reason. This becomes even worse, of course, because they basically feed an ult to those heroes with every single push.

Another real menace is flankers. I'll often push in with the team behind me and then turn around and find out that a Tracer or something has killed everybody in like 3 seconds.

Passiveness is rare, but you gotta realize that at 1900SR, there's no such thing as "in position." People just run straight into the fight, and on the rare occasions that they group up, they just clusterfuck around just outside a choke point and then get wiped by a Reaper ult or something as they push in.

My experience in general this season is like one being the protag of one of those horror movies where the rest of the cast just keeps getting snatched away the second I turn around and I find myself alone in a house of horrors.

The dart is coming first, dodge it. She has to lead her shots so circle her. At half her health the grenade is coming - don't let her hit you and herself with the same shot.
At range force her allies to body block. She is the quickest to shoot in the game so although it'll take 3 shots minimum they will come literally as fast as the gun can fire.

Shoot her out of the air. Close range is better for you than mid range. Even Tracer and Genji need to feint; everyone tries to close in at the same angles so prefireing is trivial.

He's like Genji - he looks more threatening than he is and when people figure out his weird movement he will cease to be a problem. Kill him first.
