Depends. On quick play? Yes. On competitive? No.
But competitive is still unreliable on those stat websites because it only mines data from people who actively search themself or a user; so imagine how many people don't even bother with these sites.

It's not accurate but it's the best we have. Though according to that still, there's barely anyone playing Competitive right now, and it is a mystery to me as to why. I guess people play a few games, get exhausted then try again tomorrow because the numbers only seem to keep increasing by about 100~200 everyday, globally.

Mercy is a reliable, strong healer.
Ana requires accuracy to be a strong healer, so she's unreliable depending on the player.

Mercy can revive an entire team though, but she's very vulnerable to everyone and her methods of self defense are shit and more often than not, just rely on team members to be there for her to fly towards.
Ana can 1v1 just fine or escape if a sleeping dart hits.
Ana's ultimate is amazing at pushing through a choke point too, though.

Since Mercy's buff, she's definitely back in the game, and due to that I have to say that it really does depend.

I use Mercy on defense because you can see the enemy coming in with full force and run away to hide, and bring your entire team back.
Ana for offense on the other hand is great since her Nano Boosted target can just go in there, absolutely wreck shit and scatter the enemy.

Likewise though some people may find the reverse. A nano boost to push the enemy back during defense, and Mercy's rez to bring the team back Right-Now to continue a push with no down time.

There's no clear cut answer. They';re both good.

A bad player is dead weight regardless what they play. You may be able to minimize it with things like Lucio but when you say bad I think "I'm in speedboost!" so that's worthless.

Also I'd say a bad Ana is worth less because if an Ana can't hit, you get no heals. Period.

I got placed into master but I'm a Zen support main. So I end up getting into games against other master players but they main dps.

Then they fill out the rest of the team with like S1 60's. Now you get rank 60 dps mains going against rank 80 dps mains and they get the rank 60 supports.

I'm not even a support player but I was forced to do it because everybody else locked DPS over and over again and wouldn't switch.

Typical game in my placements, wish I'd taken another shot at the end when I had 4 golds despite the 4 damage characters on the team. (And FWIW the Mercy was ANOTHER DPS when I left spawn, otherwise I would've tanked.)

Why do I get jealous every time another player picks Widowmaker? Whether it's my team or the other team.

Whenever I decide not to pick Widow one match to try Ana or Tracer, someone else always picks her, and then I immediately regret my decision. I feel like she's getting stolen from me. It feels even worse when they play better than I do. But if I pick her or switch back to her it looks bad, like I'm the jealous type, so I just try to play it cool. But sometimes I can't help but pick her and prove that I'm the one who should be with her.
