how do I track with shots properly?
I feel like the controls in this game are...too...loose? the only character it's not a complete problem with is mccree; soldier feels like I end up spray&praying and eventually they die or run off, zarya is like I'm drunk and i cant aim with lucio at all with his knockback. help

Does the whole "forced 50/50 win-loss" apply to comp too? Because it sure feels like it.

I feel like I can't win two games without losing three afterwards.

You're gonna want to start lowering your sensitivity. The default is like 40 or something crazy like that iirc. Most people hover close to 8, if not 8 exactly. It might take a little getting used to, so slowly increment yourself down to those lower settings, but you should notice your aim getting much better the lower you get

I've noticed this too, L6 W4 on my placement matches, 4/5 gold medals on each game teams consisted of leavers and people with literally 0 kills and no obj time.

Got placed at 2350 and then enjoyed a 5 game win streak with decent teams who actually communicate.

Matchmaking is basically a clusterfuck of mechanisms that don't work in any consistent manner whatsoever

it's all because teams were built around guarding x hero. if x hero has support, he can wipe an entire team. it's true for some heroes. rein, mcree, genji, widow (although she's a less likely pick nowadays). can't think of any others. maybe mercy. it felt like a mercy battle for a bit when I started playing. it's not too far fetched to say rein teams exist, but I doubt many people consider OP only because his hitbox is huge.

I've seen a few really good Junkrats since season 2 started and they're nothing to take lightly. I was top 500 and I ended up on gold this season.
Lost 9 games, 4 due to disconnects and one to an afker, two to attack symmetras not even using shields.

It's not like dota/league where you can feed off retards or low levels, to carry in this game you need to be better than all 6 enemy players and then hope they don't use their brains and teamwork to just focus you down.
I ended up with 3-4 golds every match which is probably how I got gold despite losing all those matches.

If my job in the team is to flank and kill squishies then I never spam the reinshield.

If Im a longrange dps/tank/support and I cant hit any other players then there is no reason for me not to spam the reinshield, so I spam the reinshield. But I try to focus my effort on killing stragglers and people who for some fucking reason dont stay behind the big rectangle of protection.

If Im a character who is proficient at destroing reinshield like roadhog, junkrat or bastion for example then I spam the reinshield unless I have to attack someone else.

I just spent several minutes arguing with a dude telling me defense heroes were vastly better on defense than anything else and that we should even probably have another defense hero instead of a second healer, of course my team listens to him for some reason.
