If anyone cares, Romeo changed the ending of Rewrite, now when Kotarou gets summoned in the final scene he remembers all of the girls, and every branch, and Kagari, there's a long scene where he thinks about everyone one of them and his different past experiences with them and how they're a "good memory" .He looks at the moon and thinks about the lonely girl waiting for him, he then looks at the girls and goes "let's start club activities" the rest is pretty much the same.
It's a much better ending than the older one when he gets summoned and doesn't even know who he is.

Are you implying language is not art? Translating is definitely an art. Even if you are firmly convinced that he is merely a middleman to provide other people's art - what's the problem with supporting that? In this world with a torrent of visual novels being released every day, the chances of any individual novel being translated are fairly low. Fate stay night:
It was ok. It managed to trigger feels for saber so it succeeded in that aspect.

Muv-luv trilogy:
It was #1 on VNDB so I tried it. This was a huge waste of my time. I finished every path and I kinda regret the amount of time I invested into this. Way too little writing time spent on BETA and too much on slice of life bullshit nobody cares about. I cringed at the rape scene that should have been sad. Testament to poor writing.

Ever17
Already finished 999 before reading Ever17. It's a huge downgrade from 999. The pacing is wonky to say the least. But the payoff is worth it if somewhat underwhelming compared to 999.

Saya no uta:
This one was absolutely great. It was short to the point and interesting. Even scaring me a little. Something muv-luv failed at. I want more like this

999 (favorite by far):
No "moe" characters. Every character feels realistic and there is a story reason to be tense and on your toes. You feel the pressure of the situation and you want to unravel the mystery and when you finally do the payoff is insane and mind blowing.

To echo an EGS review, it's a moege through and through for better or worse. There's no substantial drama or really anything going on the whole game pretty much, it's just moe and standard SOL throughout. I think it's pretty much the perfect pure love game, but it's also... unfortunately dull a lot of the time. Its predecessor, Hoshi Ori, had a protagonist passionate about architecture and the course of the game was molded around his interest. This time, the protagonist is a generic yasashii shinshi which is a big contributing factor to the general dullness of the game. That said, the romance is nice and the porn fantastic, so it's not as if this is a bad game. It's just a very thorough moege.

It's so big that without being paid to, I really don't expect any fan to dedicate years of their life to translating it. The game's pretty fun and a good fap but I don't really see it sparking any maniac passion like that in anyone. You never know though.

If you're able to handle C O M P L E Xity, Remember11 is basically the pinnacle. Root Double is also good and in a similar genre, and about as good as 999 despite having some pacing issues.

I/O is by the same writer, Nakazawa, and it's a big old mess. It's fucking hard to get through it and understand what's going on even with a walkthrough. It was just handled really sloppily, but the premise is very good and the music is great.

I'm going to assume you already know about VLR. As far as Never7 goes, it's probably not worth doing based on what you've said, but it's okay.
