The mangaka they hired supposedly wrote a lot of backstory for both nations, and then they scrapped most of it (including pretty much everything related to Nohr) because who the fuck knows and added shit in like the kids and Awakening brats. What's worse is that you can still see remnants of it, I have no doubt that shit like the concubine wars and Mikoto's mindfuck barrier were supposed to be bigger deals in the original version of the game.

Was the general always like this? Do we have some screencaps of Pre-Awakening or Fates to compare? I've only been here since Post-Awakening so I wouldn't know. I know this gets said a lot but from my perspective this place somehow worsened after Fates and I thought the Awakening era was generally going to be the bottom standard quality.
