I think it's more to do with the general consensus that IS can't write females worth shit. It probably is pretty tough being a waifufag with Fates, because I have noticed that there is very little pairing art of mamui with anyone except for Azura, Zero or his female siblings (which aren't all necessarily romantic pairing art due to the nature of the situation). Search for a Fates girl that you like and chances are that the only art of her in a pairing you'll find is with someone other than mamui.
