If you augment one card to 2*/3*, all future drops of that card will also be upgraded to 2*/3* automatically, but the cards on your inventory will remain unchanged.
But upgrading to 4* (if available, most dropped cards can't reach 4*) won't affect future drops (3* is the max upgrade for future drops).

Well, you get more exploration, more diverse environments, the battle system finally starts working as it should, and the formulaic party drama gets mostly solved. For me, all this plus the lore made it worth it.

You had an extra bar, similiar to Arena. Max 5 points, refill 1 point each hour (or with Lapis or level ups). Depending on how much damage you dealt, you got event currency (up until total HP for max currency). There was a global health bar for the boss - when it was reduced to zero, the boss got more HP and everybody got 8% bonus currency for each level.

Said bonus currency could be used at the gatcha to pull special mats and one of three event units.

Your own points also got you rewards at certain thresholds per mail, including each event character once and a 10% Trust Moogle.

Is the NA mobius fine or should I just grab the Japanese version for potential/better collabs?

It's 500 more lapis than the rare bundle, and all it gives you is an extra little bit of buffer time for when you don't want to play. The materials are clearly not the limiting factor in this event, and the increase is minuscule.

Macros solve this issue, so the only time you wouldn't go for the rare is if you're purist scum.

Let's take a sample run from Maranda Coast. 450 Flour, 106 Eggs, 128 Rock Sugar, and 288 Lotus Paste. Two runs would be 900 flour, 212 eggs, 256 sugar, and 576 paste.

One rare bundle needs 30 sugar, 30 eggs, 45 seed paste, and 150 flour. That means two runs would last you 6 hours limited only by Flour. Get more flour and the rest will last you 8-12 hours.
With the premium bundle, it's even better.

I know they're games and not supposed to make sense; but it really is silly that the later game towns in fantasy games are surrounded by high level monsters that could easily massacre everyone, and there's often like 2-3 soldiers max. So, I just finished this game for the first time since it released. Put it off due to the memes and negativity around it but finally got around to it.

Honestly, fuck /v/. This was an amazing game the whole way through and it all "worked" for me in a way that other games just haven't for a long time. I'm not a big fan of FF or JRPGs (although I do play many of the big names) either, but this game - I feel like I just discovered a hidden gem except it was never hidden, does that make sense?

Not sure if I can put it into words right now, but I'll try. The music of the FF games has always been one of my favorite things about them and this one was no different. For example, there is the sequence where you escape the city and join Fang. The track that plays over that part as you run away really caught my attention and I literally restarted the game to listen to it all closer. There are many other moments like this where the music complements and enhances the scenes in a way that other games don't. Have you played MGS? You know when they play their main vocal theme over some scenes? It's like that but more nuanced and subtle. The scene as you walk through Vanille's home on Pulse is another excellent example that just came to mind.

I've only talked about the music, but I guess it's more accurate to call it the set pieces of the game. The scene where Lightning cries and punches Snow - like I said, it all works for me.

Race is purely cosmetic. Pick whatever looks cool to you. The game has a mechanic for changing the race and gender of your character later on if you want. It's designed so you can do everything with a single character.

For class, do you prefer Tank, Healer, or DPS?
Marauder and Gladiator are tanks, later they become Warrior and Paladin respectively. Paladin is more pure tanking, Warrior lets you tank while still doing a bit of DPS.

Conjurer is the pure healer, later it becomes White Mage.
Arcanist is magic DPS but later on you can choose to upgrade to either Scholar which is a healer, or Summoner which is DPS.

All the other classes are DPS. Rouge/Ninja can't be chosen as a starting class, you have to switch to it later on.

The game lets you switch classes when you get to level 10, but you need to get to level 15 to have access to all the cities and all the classes from the vanilla version of the game. If you got Heavensward you have to clear all of the original game content before you can get access to the expansion content, including the new classes from that expansion. That means getting to level 50 before any expansion stuff, takes about a month to do.

Assuming you also bought the mid tier recipe, that's 700 total lapis spent, or 2.8 pulls. Assuming you bought the premium bundle, that's 1200 lapis, or 4.8 pulls.

So you get anywhere from 7.2 to 5.2 pulls for free depending on how aggressive you play. It pays for itself and a nice bonus.

Your team would be mediocre garbage in current JP, meaning you've got less than 6 months of use out of it.

You might need to read a plot synopsis of 13 to understand why One of your MCs and some important side characters are doing what they are doing in 13-2. It's a most magical ride into crazy/bullshit land with the plot so its worth a try.

Isn't her base attack 101? Doesn't that mean she has ~10 more attack without them on?

i'll check her unarmed after this run, but so far attacking the same enemy, chizuru put out 3044 damage, and xiao did 3081.
the smaller numbers jump around a bit of course.

I think Brawl might even work on total attack instead of base attack, in which case it's OP as fuck. I've never gotten to play with it myself, but I know most people recommend an unarmed Xiao.

It would also mean the kaiser knuckles are useless on her.

Nevermind, just tested it on Baurg.

It's just base attack, but in Xiao's case that's still an automatic +~50 attack power.
