One thing I always liked about vanilla was the class quest system and this brings it back in a very cool way.

Guys I fucking love arcane mage. Managing your mana, changing your rotation each cycle depending on your mana/enemy hp/enemy numbers, gambling on getting more AM procs at the cost of mana and scaling like a motherfucker with any external buffs for burn phases.

Disc priest surival tips for heroic and mythic dungeons:

Stay with the dps talents, don't listen to the shitty discs that say you need to play differently in 5mans. That means keep purge the wicked and no Grace or The Pentient. Stay away from them.

You'll be using Shadowmend a lot more often in mythic than you do in heroic or normal, but keep PtW up on all targets. It really does help a ton.

PW:S tank(cast it on CD), Plea, the PW:R so everyone always has Atonement. You wont oom ever, even if you're casting PW:R 10+ times during one fight.

Penance on CD even if everyone is at full.

When Mindbender is up you can go HAM with Smite and not worry about casting Shadow Mend more than once or twice. There's no real reason to not use Mindbender on trash since it's a 1min CD, and makes it so you don't have to Shadow Mend more than once or twice.

Learn the fights so you know which bosses you can pop PI, Mindbender, and LW at the start for extra DPS(since they might be back up before the boss is dead), and the fights where you need to save them for burst healing.

There are some fights where you might need to take Schism over Castigation, but Castigation will get you through all of heroic and most mythic dungeons easily enough.

Don't be afraid to PS and Barrier on trash.

Don't be afraid to let people stay low for a little while when Mindbender is up and you need to focus on the tank or just want to spam smite. Mindbender + PI with atonement up will get them to a healthy life total on its own.

Were in the vanilla or the cataclysm area, we just did elwynn forest but the quests seemed sort of mediocre.

From my limited experience, I found that if I start off well with 5 atonements on everyone, I can heal everyone for a long time with penance. When shit hits the fan , then I start shielding and spamming shadowmend. I like power word radiance a lot because u spread atonement way faster but the mana cost is huge. Also don't know when to use lights wrath, I'm pretty much using it for the nuke ATM.

With 5 Atonements up, LW heals for quite a lot. 5 atonement LW + Penance with PtW ticking heals pretty much everyone to full. If Mindbender is on CD, this is your go-to "oh shit" button. Even if you don't need to heal everyone with Penance you should still be casting it on CD. You're a healer that heals for a fuckton but you're also a viable damage dealer, don't forget that.

When shit hits the fan you really should be Mindbendering or LW Penance comboing. It heals everyone a lot more effectively than spamming Shadowmend. I only use Shadowmend to get the tank to 80%+ before I start smiting again. there are times where you need to Shadowmend other party members, but it shouldn't be coming up that often unless you have a bunch of retards standing in the fire.
