Just don't ever get an Attack cosmos, it's legit bad. Choose between BL or Spec, whichever you feel that will benefit your characters more.

Reason why BL and Spec cosmos are worth noting over the others is because Balance/Special characters are more used than Defense/Heal and they'll benefit more from their respective cosmos than Defense/Heal. Attackers are also greatly used but the main reason why Attack cosmos isn't used is because their cosmos takes off their HP, which will make them explode.

literally the opposite of how things work. the more crap your class/element is the less leeway you have in fucking around or messing up.

Take for example paladin healers in WoW.
They were a joke to play for a long time. You used to only press two buttons and during expansions where they were completely OP even the biggest retards could outperform anyone else in the raid. You had two immunity charges that would prevent you from dying at any time. And all you had to do was remember to constantly spam those two buttons so you didn't have to focus on health bars. You just had to look at the raid and dodge shit.
That gives you leeway to do things like Blessing of Freedom people that stepped in goo, or Blessing of Protection someone that's about to eat a nuke.
It makes you look like a better player. Meanwhile other classes are struggling to keep up with you on the healing meters to justify their raid spot and compete within their own class to get into a raid, not with yours.
