A fight where you have to actually listen to determine where the boss will appear and what attack he will use. The fight starts in a well lit platform but as the fight progresses, darkness starts closing in on the platform and progressively hiding boss attacks 1 by 1, while introducing the sound mechanic until everything but a very small part is visible and you have a claustrophobic feeling coupled with essentially your main sense being useless.
I think an ocean theme would work pretty well for it. Like Leviathan or something like it pulling you and your companions down into the depths of the sea.

Would it be unfair to people with hearing problems? Yes. Do I care? No.

Boss befuddles the party and makes everyone appear as clones of himself, puts the party in random positions, then teleports to a random position. Friendly-fire is also enabled for the duration of this.

He starts channeling a spell which if completed, the party will be inflicted with a lengthy Paralysis debuff that cannot be dispelled on all DPS/Tanks, and an equally lengthy Heavy on Healers that cannot be dispelled.

To stop this, players must figure out which boss is the correct one and burn him before the cast finishes.
All players will appear to have the casting bar, but there is no channeling animation for it.

The party list and hotkeys are also disabled for the duration of this.
The boss randomly alternate between moving erratically or duplicating the movements of the party member nearest him (on a very slight delay).

This is pretty speculative and probably pointless, but just wondering why the devs make healing classes in this game so easy. I like the idea of a pure healing class, but unfortunately it just doesn't exist. Even on WHM I probably spend more than half my mp on dps.

I realize in raids it's not as bad but in casual content healing is just so easy that it's boring, you either dps half the time, or worse, stand around and do nothing half the time. Are the devs afraid that if they give you an actual healing load that people won't be able to handle it?
