Depends on your server, but yes the raiding population never recovered from Gordias and is still tiny. They have been publicly stressing that the final tier of Alex will be easier so that may attract more people. Midas is much, much better than Gordias, but on non-JP servers aside from Gilgamesh I would imagine you'd be hard pressed to find PF groups for anything beyond A6S.

That's the problem, all the interesting stuff I miss happened before Nael's defeat. Nael's constant descent into insanity was a real highlight of 1.0 but ARR has no real way of actually portraying that. Not to mention Gaius and Cid interactions before. There's that one conversation between the two that gave more personality to Gaius than anything in ARR did
