Why does everyone say Little Mac is not an air fighter?
His aerials aren't that bad. They just have really specific properties for combos and jab reset. Here are some things high level Mac mains like NobleSol make use of his aerials.

N-air: It breaks some combos and alleviates ledge pressure if you do a jumping n-air at the ledge. Also footstool setups that don't work as well against good players

F-air: Back of u-tilt into f-air or d-tilt into f-air are true combos are certain percents and put the opponent in a very unfortunate position afterward for more follow ups. On some characters d-tilt f-air f-tilt is true since f-air auto cancels.

D-air: It's a jab reset. You can do it after a misteched to get a bigger punish but most Macs usually do a running u-smash since the hitbox on d-air is very small and missing a punish is frustrating.

U-air: It pokes platforms and d-tilt perfect pivot u-tilt into u-air is a true combo and the u-air is just to get extra 5%.

B-air: Back of U-tilt B-air fast fall and bait something is a fun setup.

Does Mewtwo have any strings that can lead smoothly into a spike attempt?

I'm not expecting a true combo but most characters I play can attempt an early gimp with an aerial into a spike. However the way Mewtwo's double jump works means it's hard to lead into a spike from another aerial. At lowish percentages it almost looks like forward DI throughout a fair will leave you in position to dair, but I always seem to fall short.

How do you guys land your dairs with Mewtwo?

Hot fucking damn. So I'm someone who always plays hyperoffensively, with middling results lately. So I take a break from bettering my mains and try to change my mindset and try playing defensively and patiently, and use Zelda.

And goddamn, this isn't at all the boring playstyle I expected at all. I won almost all FG rounds tonight and played a friend of mine who usually is toe-to-toe with me, and destroyed her. And even in my losses, I have no more stress. I am pure fucking zen and it feels great.

How far do you think I can take Zelda as a main? I feel like I'm becoming a better person somehow from it, she's like salvation. I realize I'm still not that great and maybe my friend was just not used to it, but she feels like she has so much potential.

And eh, at Smash centric events theres not really a reason not to have it, but they arent entitled to it and it doesnt need to be at every tournament. It should also be open to anyone pre-top 8. Iirc at Shine in the VIP area there were seats behind the reserved setups where anyone could just walk in and watch the high level friendlies.
Floating is dumb though. Especially for Smash 4 where a handful of high level players will just buster out at random. Plus its more experience for low level players who would never make it far enough to play them anyway.

I think the mistake people make when saying top player should be floated past pools is focusing on round 1 pools, where yes, they likely won't lose anyways. It instead ruins the integrity of the later rounds of the tournament. Because the handpicked top player will not have had to play their pools match, will not have had to woken up early and will have had time to practice in their VIP room.

Whereas someone like you or I will have had to play pools at 8am, we're not likely to beat someone like MVD or MacD(trying to cover both games here) as it is, it certainly doesn't help matters if they're well rested and we're not.

Are there any prominent Zelda mains I could try and study from, to your knowledge? I still don't know the scene too well.

Before now, I've considered my mains to be Pikachu and Lucina, but neither seems to have the sheer defensive capability Zelda does, and I chose them for their straightforwardness. Though, I recently started using Quick Attack besides for recovery and I think that's one key to taking him further. Lucina I'm not sure about, she feels good in most regards, I love shield-breaking turtley foes, and Dolphin Slash seems like some kind of anti-meta black magic, but she doesn't seem to have as much depth.

But here I am playing Zelda again after only a few hours of experience beforehand, and doing decent at the very least with her. I wanna know if her limits have really been reached yet, and if she's worth putting the time into to reach for the top.

Or maybe she's still kinda unexplored, in which I might as well.

Some characters carry their players more than others.

Ryu and Fox are two of those characters. You get a lot farther than you normally would playing a honest character.

I'd like to add Mario and Donkey Kong to B tier on Matty G's tier list as well. You're not carried quite as hard as people who play Bayo, Diddy, Cloud, Ryu or Fox but you still don't quite deserve your results.
