Tellah does a lot of damage, he's probably my strongest party member right now. Krile's magic is really low, she's a support unit for me, not a real caster. She's definitely not a replacement for Tellah.

If I got rid of her, I'd be missing Dualcast obviously but I'm thinking the replacement unit might actually be more useful simply because Tellah has Cura.

I could see them replacing it with a "Veteran Reward" esque system where for every x months of playtime you get to literally pick one relic you want, potentially of escalating rank, so SB, SSB, BSB, etc. for like 3/6/9 months or something. Most people use macros to play the game for them while they live their life

Eventually we get these rewards called Trust Moogles that make the process way, way easier. They automatically grant a percentage of TM.

The kind of trust moogles you'll most likely get are the cheapo ones that only work on specific TMRs.
There's better ones, and ones that increase it by 10%, but you'll probably only get one an event, and that's if you don't need 6* awakening mats or nice new weapons...etc.

A little bit of TMR grinding is still necessary even with the moogles, just not as much.

This is what I was hoping the last time I played and I gave it the good college try. There's definitely some foul play at hand though with the bosses. They aren't immune to status effects like most games, but a lot of them have ridiculous resistances to them. It's a lazy criticism of a poorly characterized aspect of games. The line between good and bad pacing, or even more objective descriptions like fast and slow, are blurred and indistinguishable from one another unlike in film. It relies far too much on the player's own conscious awareness of progression, their biases, and play style, with little consideration for "big picture" critique of the effect of the phenomenon we call pacing.

Someone mentioned XIII's "roller coaster" speed before Ch 11's "abrupt" halt while failing to mention or consider several things. Namely, that in cinema, there is always a period of "low action" following "high action." It makes no sense to criticize the game's pace as "roller coaster" or "breakneck speed" while simultaneously criticizing its return to normalcy as an "abrupt" halt - it is in fact not only beneficial to play to slow down before approaching the climax, but also completely expected by anyone who has actual knowledge of pacing from film. Calling it abrupt betrays the reviewer's ignorance of good/bad pacing. As the guy said, it becomes a meme buzzword accepted without actually stopping to think about what it means or whether it's applied correctly - like how they speak of cinematography on /tv/ where no one is quite sure who is memeing and who is not. There is also other direct game reasons for the slowdown as they have just landed on Pulse and are coming to terms with the various revelations about their fate. The sequence in Oerba demonstrates pretty clearly the general feeling of despair among the group and the slower "pacing" of the portion supports and is probably necessary to convey these ideas.
