Aggro has a limit.
Who has the highest aggro tanks, but since it has a limit my guess is that you built up aggro faster than the hoplite, but once you reached the aggro cap he started to outdps you.
Provoke makes you generate aggro 5 times faster, so he surely had that turned off.

If you do hunter you can't do SR and then you have to take falconer which takes 3 character slots in the end unless this is a pvp build

Don't max coursing but put 1 or 2 in, max the one that lets you drag enemies or the one from the sky

I was planning to go Hunter3 already, Hunter1 felt REALLY bad. Hunter2 is a lot nicer since Snatching destroys lying mobs and Retrieve is great when the AI doesn't bugs.

Knowing that Growling is also pretty good makes me happier about going Hunter3.

You're really overestimating how necessary the damage buff is from steady aim. It's better to have other skills in your rotation so you don't blow your entire load on a single mob with retreat shot and then useless for 30 seconds.

Before when it gave 45% and lasted 25 seconds, clearly it was the superior choice. Now that the buff has been essentially nerfed to 20% of what it was before, people are just trying to justify their ranger3 choices with dumb shit like how 4% dps is actually relevant or not.

You can be just as viable rolling Ranger1 and Wugu2 for ET as Ranger3 or QS3. You could not even have steady aim and SR2 will still provide you enough dps to clear ET. That's just how the class is.

The extra skills from Ranger3 are really bad, the 10% is barely noticeable since Retreat Shot 10 just melts every mob I've seen before it even runs out.

I would have much rather invested in more skills that I could use when Retreat Shot is on CD. Pretty much my rotation right now without a Diev + Chrono support is using Retreat shot for a big pull and then waiting for RS to come back off CD.

I also can't solo missions at all as an SR2, because the class is too finicky on positioning to be useful. My Wugu2 can literally just cast poisons on a boss and just run around until it dies of aids in record time.

That damage is really low an inconsistent compared to wugu poison dot damage though. It ticks like 4 times a second, scaling 1:1 with your physical attack. And the best thing about it is that it supplements your limacon damage too.

The beauty of DoT damage poisons is that its literally cast and forget, it still keeps doing damage if you need to dodge or you get knocked down or cant get into positioning.

Try soloing those missions at 280 and tell me how long it takes. The boss monsters HP is now inflated and your poisons do nearly the same damage they did 100 levels again. Take this from a former Wugu 3, poisons scale like shit. You know nothing. Wugu poisons seem like a godsend at earlier levels because they are way ahead of the damage of the abilities near that level, but at the end of the day they are a gimmick support DPS. They will only become less and less relevant as the level cap increases and monsters gain more and more HP. This is why, once again, you should invest on buffs that scale by % instead of raw damage, like Steady Aim or Running Shot.

The most interesting mechanic about wugu poisons is definitely how they snapshot damage. They're actually the most optimized class around Glass Mole cards, because they can utilized 100% of the damage of the phys attack buff.

I actually preferred the other party bug because when you were playing in a party you were guaranteed to do cutscenes together as long as the other party members are far away from the quest

Currently, I have the problem that in about 25-40% of all cutscenes we just get separate cutscenes at all

The damage will vary a lot based on your $$$ power. Skills base damage are already great and they have a % mod, so very good gear and attributes also play a huge role.

your best investment for dps now is an arde dagger and a servant rod +3

if possible, a few matk/elemental hats

after that, work on your plate set (cheap knight armor, superior 170 white legs and boots) and a cheap shield 170 shield. that's why the servant rod is also important.

After that, work on your dps attributes up to lv 20 at least.

I'm not sure how you're doing but I think you can solo clear the 130 dungeon already with a few potions and bonfires, you're cryo 3 linker 1 necro, right? sounds easy to do in 40 minutes or so without rushing, alt-tabing and shitposting while you regen
