Gunslinger is better in more capable hands than SWAT. SWAT is a perk that works for most players, but because of its low damage and high rate of fire it can only be so effective.
GS might not have stuns, but it can still effectively take out Scrakes and FPs with its big guns. Unless the SWAT player has near-aimbot levels of accuracy, he can't do the same.

Solid all-arounder perk, toting mobility, high damage, and has the capacity to take care of the big zeds at higher perk levels. Also has some nice auxiliary effects now through skills.

Any Demo explosive will trigger it, but they have to detonate during the zed time. Only the HX25 projectiles can 'queue' the effect. The skill itself adds damage and radius modifiers to the explosion, which are of course linked to the weapon's stats. The DoT is garbage again so don't worry about that.

Killing Floor nees its own profile system like what Dota 2 has so that you can see your records.Maybe have achievements that ive items and stuff like TF2.

It could have stuff like:
>overall stats like damage, zed kills (overall and individual zeds), dosh earned, play-time, etc
>same stats for each perk
>career self-heal and career player heal
>favorite character and weapon visible, showing a preview with your character and weapon with the cosmetics equipped on them in a little window
>map stats like a list of maps you've played with play-time and waves completed on them (could be used to see if someone got max level legitimately or by boosting)
>weapon stats from most to least kills and what type of zeds they're used on

This would be pretty cool to have, as it'd feel like you're actually creating a sort of record of your achievements while at Horzine. Also, anything else that could go up there?

go swat or something on first round because the HX25 is garbage

go for the m79 on round two with as much ammo as you can carry. Use it exactly as you would expect it to be used; at groups. It's detonating range is closer than you'd expect.

the C4 is not a primary weapon; only buy it if you already have the m79. It works fine as an early-wave scrake/FP repellant, or if it's the boss wave and you dont need the splash damage.

as soon as big dudes start spawning, sell the c4 and get an RPG. Now would be a good time to flick towards the damage skills in the perk menu.

The RPG has a smaller blast radius, so you should use the m79 on groups of trash; the RPG is overkill.

The m16 is good if you keep getting fucked up by crawlers, but it's explosion radius is smaller than the m79, so ideally you should use that instead.
Preferably you should be holed up somewhere in a chokepoint, while swats/commandos/medics/supports keep dudes off your back.

point blanc shots with the RPG (and to a much lesser extend, the nade launchers) to a scrake's head will instantly decap it in 1 to 2 hits, depending on difficulty/players (usually 1)

a good combo is bash+rpg+bash+m203 for 6P HoE

for fleshpounds, just keep spamming rockets until it explodes.

Got up to test it just for you, still works on big guys after update. Like I mentioned though, it has the fairly mean caveat of needing to be right under the target (or it just comes up to 98%, 99% stunned). It can be worked around in frantic scenarios with 2 approximated grenades or, if you're daring enough, pick up a LAR to ensure stuns.

Of course, between bash and Skullcracker GS really doesn't need stun now.

No fault to you necessarily, I spent a lot of time myself after the nail bomb was changed trying to perfect the grenade roll. For instance, it bounces slightly to the right and farther than you're aiming for. Because of the distance and timing, I find it easier to spot the hit on FP than Scrake because of his faster walk speed.

I still do but game seem dead atm. KF2 hype finally killed it.
Being an elitist douche with over 4k KF1 hours don't help either. All I see are newbies that cheese the game with no-brainer tactics then wipe at the end.

No one plays HoE anymore, because mobs are very protective of each other and if you try to score mass kills in a blink it makes you pay back for it in an unpredictable way.
Also, old trolls of the community doesn't like it when newbies are trying to finish a HoE game for the sake of having an achievement and stall or clutch the game for their own amusement.

i don't like rack em up because the constant pressure to get perfect headshots or else you lose your damage multiplier makes you either unintentionally miss or outright refuse to shoot at zeds because they might move in a weird way or the shot might not register or firbugs might exist on the same server as you. which will usually end badly.

they're both viable-ish

tactical reload if you wanna go around both barrel assblasting literally everything from the face through the anus with the boomstick, but for that to actually work you gotta get:

-tactical reload
-salvo
-tight choke
-concussion if solo, supplier if with teammates
-barrage


otherwise if you wanna mainly use the AA12 with the M4 Benelli:

-extended mags
-same as above
-same as above
-same as above
-same as above

with that setup, you'll be using your AA12 mainly to chew through zeds and especially during zed time, you'll be able to melt the heads of fleshpounds and scrakes.

for either setups you could always try swapping out tight choke for AP shot if you wanna kill zeds through zeds.

readme includes everything, song names, and what in-game songs they replace.
They're already labeled to be used in-game so you can copy-paste into the common\killingfloor2\KFGame\BrewedPC\WwiseAudio\Windows folder.
If you want a meme song like running in the 90s to play in the main menu or boss waves just change the track ID associated with the song name from the readme.
Only had an issue once when a song didn't play during the trader time correctly, otherwise it works fine.
You can test them out offline with cheats in the lobby menu, in-game, and with 'spawnai hans' or pat and 'nexttrack'.

See the thing about REU is that it boosts your damage where it matters. You don't actually need any boosts when shooting trash as your damage is already sufficient for that. In fact, the new REU gives leniency to bodyshotting trash or straight-up missing after scoring some counters – both of which being the main fears of the old mechanics.

I've got a lot of time played with demo, play regularly on suicidal and have gotten my victory with it in HoE. I'll give a run down for each skill.

Level 5
[.] Bombardier - Bigger damage sounds great right? It's really not worth it for what it's competing against, unless you exclusively use C4 and dynamite.
[X] Shock Trooper - You reload faster with 4 out of 5 weapons. Demo weapons also have unique stumbles meaning you won't interrupt the tempo of your team as much.

Level 10
[X] High Impact Rounds - Since you didn't take Bombardier, you might as well take this. The ammo penalty is offset by what you get naturally.
[.] Extra Rounds - I still have ammo to spare even with High Impact Rounds so unless you spam at a Scrake this isn't needed. Also makes it cost more to auto-fill.

Level 15
[X] Sonic Resistant Rounds - Absolutely essential for how much these bitches scream.
[.] Fragmentation Rounds - This sounds like it COULD be useful, but it has a downside, why do you want to gimp yourself?

Level 20
[.] Armor Piercing Rounds - This is a really gimmicky skill that lets you take out Scrakes with point-blank rockets.

Mostly if you want your pellets to be more reliable in hitting single targets like scrakes and fleshpounds, especially at a distance so no need to get within dicks reach to have pellets contact.

Your other option is extra penetration which is nice, very rarely does it feel it'll take full effect but it kind of solidifies clearing slightly spread out groups in a shot or two. Really all its asking is "do you want tighter pellets or not?" and extra penetration is basically the "i'll keep the normal spread" option.
Not the original guy but I still prefer the default spread, its nice that the boomstick keeps its wide and with pride in case zeds come from multiple directions to surround you

So what's the general consensus on the latest update?
Personally, I think its by far the best incarnation of the game yet. Probably going to be a lot of fun once there isn't four level 0 swats in every server like there always fucking is after every content patch.

Only real neat-pick that I have is that the new zed behaviors made stalkers the most dangerous god damn enemies in the game by far which seems a bit strange, but that can probably be mitigated by just having a Commando in the squad.

It's really good. SWAT's not bad (though I think it needs a rework to really shine), but the real winners are Demo and Support.

I like the new Stalker a lot. She's now a real threat and is unique instead of being "Invisible Clot with boobs". Makes Commando feel even more useful.

Lots of the sounds feel pretty bad, but I think SWAT and Comm having exaggerated difference is good for gameplay.

"Realistically-speaking" for gun firing sounds is kinda bullshit anyways, since you can't and shouldn't instantly deafen players that set their volume reasonably, so it's always gonna be some kind of change from what a 13" barrel 308 inside a small concrete room would actually sound like. A consistent method of it being unrealistic is the best that could be hoped for.

The shield could just add onto your current armor value.
So if you have heavy armor training and the sheild has say 300 HP combined with the 150 SWAT already has, it would be pretty useful having an effective 450 armor.
As for having only a shield equipped, maybe it's possible TW will let you wield the shield and the 9mm so you can at least shoot.

Worse than what? In KF1 you couldn't do anything until you reloaded the launcher, at least in kf2 you can shoot the rifle, bash, or switch weapons first.
Still lacking in that you can't ADS, sprint, or rifle reload first, though.

I hate the eviscerator so much. The buzz saw bow worked fine for me in kf1 but this god damn thing always seems to sneak past heads or shoot off in some random direction. That and the xbow. I swear sometimes those two weapons don't even shoot projectiles.

Personally, I'd make it so the main mechanic of the perk would be your sprint being replaced by a quick dash in any direction when you have a perk weapon equipped. Making it more or less play like man-at-arms in Chivalry or Shadow Warrior 2013 minus ki powers.
Basically ultimate hit and run guy, which ironically would probably be a bit closer to how the kf1 zerk was.

Resistances have been toned down, perks now have new skills and feel fresh/fun again, SWAT is out, things are mostly balanced and its chaotic fun. Big changes though are crawlers which act like Hans gas grenades and big guys spawnings are a lot more aggressive.

They should add a dart only weapon that allows you to instaheal someone, my issue isn't the lack of healing but the ways of healing, sending 5 darts to someone really doesn't help when the patriarch can just oneshot you with his missiles

I like how Medic sin't an instant heal. Makes things more exciting and means some dude dealing with a ton of enemies has to work for max health instead of just standing around and hitting 100% instantly.

With the new buffs healing can give someone, it's a good idea to pump them full of needles so they can go faster.

I think he means that reloading before the mag is empty would add the chambered round to the fresh mag's total.

i.e. Imagine firing 29 out of 30 rounds from an SA80 mag, leaving one round in the chamber. Reloading would, irl, give you 31 rounds total, 30 in the fresh mag plus the 1 chambered.

In-game, that chambered round instead gets added back into your reserve ammo pool.

There's no time for that. Probably not for KF1 and definitely not for the direction KF2 is going in.
Another thing that sucks about that is that it half-asses realism, with only the restrictive part. Yes, if you put away two half mags, you'll realistically still have two half mags. But if you want to, realistically you'd also have the option to manually unload one then fully load the other.

+1 capacity from the chamber, on the other hand, wouldn't slow things down at all; it's an appreciable consideration, but an optional one.

Realistic magazines deons't work with the fast-paced arcade-style gameplay that KF2 has. Realistic magazines may give RO2 fans and /k/ommandos boners, but it doesn't work with KF2's flow (especially with the increased spawns in the SWAT patch).

In KF1, weapons had their own headshot multipliers, so they could be mindful with weapons' balance by making some of them great for headshots, but balanced by being weaker for bodyshots, when desired.
KF2 abandoned that potential, so the importance of shot placement only depends on the zed and perk passives/skills.
