Honestly, a lot of work is categorized differently. If you're really dedicated, you'd scour 100 pages of the Character tag... like I did. I just chose not to save any of it. A shame but oh well. It's usually westerners copying and pasting Jap tags, which is why a lot of the bad gets left in.

It's not blocked at all, it's just left for you to find. If a tag is small enough, you can find what's on the popular list in a matter of pages.

Another technique is to bookmark a work, go to that tag in your bookmarks, and look at the recommended which is like browsing by popularity. Pic related for example is in the "blocked" bar but I found it just from browsing.

Probably depends on which instruction manuals are ready. According to the English manuals, Tails and Sonic split up after Sonic 2 (Tails Adventures), so Sonic CD could take place between 2 and 3. According to the Japanese manuals, Tails Adventures took place before Sonic 1 so then it's anyone's guess again.

If the Rivals series were to take place after Rush, it seems illogical that Sonic and Tails wouldn't recognize him for the second time. 06 is placed before Rivals due to the changes in Silver's future.

I placed the Storybook games in their respective release dates compared with the others, but they can take place just about anywhere in the Modern Era.

Lastly, I didn't include Project 2017 in here, because we know little about the game's plot. However, I presume that it takes place after Lost World.

Why does everyone in 06 look so lanky? The way they move is really weird too.

Fuck this is the Sonic franchise. The franchise who's main character is known to be an asshole in certain iterations.

Likable and justifiable assholes are good and okay even great if handled well.

However Rosemary is a classic example of the unintended or non-asshole. The writer simply did not write her as he wanted her to be viewed and instead she is a bitch and can only be viewed as such. Worst yet is that her being a bitch is her ONLY characterization so that only puts the cherry on top of the fact that she wasn't supposed to be viewed as one.

I mean shit, I don't think you'll find many people who don't like the Joker and even less who say he's a bad character with bad writing even though he is the epiphany of the western way of writing a character who just doesn't give a fuck and does whatever asshole thing he can because he can.

Mephiles was the main villain of the game. Silver's story had barely any relevance to the overall plot. Iblis was only a threat in his future, and all he does in the present is get Elise kidnapped twice and tell Sonic something he should have already figured out. It makes me wondered, do you think Sonic Battle could have of been the REAL ending to Shadow's amnesia fiasco? Besides the game showing elements that its timeline takes place after Heroes, Rouge kind of told Shadow everything about his past that he's been pondering about since then.
And since ShtH was made after Heroes, it makes me think the game sort of semi-recton Battle's timeline and put it after ShtH.
Battle seems like the better ending to Shadow's character arc than ShtH.

It was simply too try hard. Shadow acting like a psycho and killing everyone just was not the way to go about it. Shadow is capable of smiling and not in a sneer kind of way. He's serious, but not a complete sociopath. Well, he kind of has the right to be but still.

Nah. Shadow works best when he's functionally identical to Sonic. 06 portrayed him in perhaps the best way, with him actually using his Chaos powers in general combat, but I think the shooting really should go to Omega since his entire purpose is 'walking arsenal'. Shadow with guns somehow feels less clean, especially when he has the ability to use Chaos powers to achieve more or less the same goal.

I'm on the fence about his use of an armed motorbike, however.
