The game could have waifus if it wants. If FE was filled with ugly hoes like dorothy it would lose a lot of appeal. The story, plot, narrative, characters, character development, dialouge exchanges, pacing and tone have been noticeably weak for the 3ds entries more notably fates. I honestly think anyone who complains about the story of the modern 3DS games should play Tearring Saga. It does literally everything that people expected from Fates. Characters without gimmicks, a not entirely black and white morality, and two genuinely badass main leads.

I just wanna vent here like a bitch for a minute because of Sakura's chapter in the Conquest route. It's my first time trying it. It wasn't that hard so far. A bit slow because I was playing very carefully, surprised by some reinforcements and almost lost units to them, but luckily they barely managed to survive. All that was left at this point was Yukimura and Sakura with her few units inside her rectangle.

Yukimura had ridiculous stats and was on a throne, pretty much nobody in my team could either survive or have a respectable hit rate against hit, on top of that Sakura could still heal him from afar and had Freeze, so I could not fight him yet. I decided to approach Sakura first but didn't break in her rectangle yet, just healing my units before going in. This is where the fuckening starts.

As soon as I approach their area, thirty enemy reinforcement unit, not one more, not one less, not an exaggeration, enter the battlefield. Just as comparison, when you start the chapter there are only thirty-three enemy unit to deal with. They are not even weak dumb reinforcement units. They all possess great stats, fantastic abilities from -faires to Great Shield to Quick Draw and all come with weapons good for every situation, from Dual weapons, to Bolt weapons, to -slayers weapons. I was expecting a little reinforcements, but not all this. They are all very fast and like only two units in my team can double them, not even managing to score a kill. Some of them come in Pair Up, so it doesn't matter if you kill one, the other will still fuck up one of your now weakened units. The only solution I can't think of is to leave everybody on top of the Forts to avoid them from spawning. But I had no way to know on my first attempt, and that was just bullshit.

So basically what I'm trying to say is that Yukimura sucks dick.

In Awakening, each character has one potential S-support partner that takes fewer support points to reach S-support with. This is the closest thing there is in the game data to support for "canon" parings.

Some of the datamine pairings make sense in the context of the game like Chrom/Sumia. Others don't seem to have any support at all like Libra/Cordelia.

Honestly my opinion is that a lot of the issues surrounding the casts of Awakening/Fates could be fixed by simply reducing the number of supports. A large part of why the newer casts seem more gimmicky is simply because there are a lot more of their gimmicks to see. Having more limited supports allows for things to be more focused and keeps people from being over-exposed.
