even characters like necalli who have a great dp can cover poor reactions to jumps by mashing jab
characters without dp have some conceptually designed designated anti air normal that has a high chance of trading at best or just getting stuffed.

this leads to a lot of jumping in sf5 because there is absolutely no reason to not up forward for the chance to net 500 damage/death because youre getting tapped for 20 damage.

tl;dr its frustrating on both sides that jab aa is really strong

Why not? Isn't rollback delay netcode with a fixed delay and a method for handling the situations where the actual delay varies and goes over the fixed limit? If the connection is good and the delay is set to minimize any issues, wouldn't good delay netcode perform similarly?

I do agree rollback is better, but non-rollback gets a lot of shit and I'm not sure it deserves all of it. I guess "if the delay is set to minimize any issues (rollbacks)" is the problem, but I figured that was the way to go desu.
