Is this a serious question? It's so he doesn't get exposed by good players. When onlineski runs a train on nobs with say, Love Heart, with crouch C cancelled into swords all day he will think he's hot shit when he has awful spacing, doesn't know how to use any other normals, has no backup plans for when his opponent counters his strategy, etc... And then when that Love Heart player runs into someone who has a brain and predicts the crouch C and hops over it for a 60% damage combo he will get blown up and his lack of fundamentals exposed because he has never played someone who forced him to play properly.

Its an example of a completely shit game launch. SFxT is at is core an average fighting game but there was so much bullshit associated with it that it couldnt just coast by on mediocre gameplay and the SF name with Tekken tossed on top.

I actually found the game to be pretty fun, i spent the launch month teaming up with a friend and fighting other duos online. But the state the game launched it was awful (it got patched to be mediocre later) and the shady business practices made the game a joke.

But i have a soft spot for that game and teaming up with my friend for tag team improv combos.

not sure there's a specific reason why, but my best guess would be when you have 50 characters its sorta difficult to make all of the full unique. People shit on games with small casts but in those game all of the characters tend to be really different, BBCT, SG, UNIEL, SCV.

I do think that Kof is really liberal with giving characters fireballs because of the presence of a roll and the various jumps.
