hello, guy who is programming the "simulation" of sleeper sleeper sites here again
today I implemented the following:
-Simplified sleeper movement incorporated -- no accelleration accounted for (still need to find accurate data for spawn distances from the player's location though)
-Created 2-D plot of these locations
-Sentry drone damage
-Missile Damage
-Fixed some bugs
-Still to do:
-Add ability to swap drones when against frigates or something like that
-Add light/med/heavy drone damage and drone movement associated with that
-Add 'imperfections' associated with starting to shoot new target/targeting first ship of a wave
-Maybe add missile flight time? This doesn't really make a huge difference with how things are calculated though.

To be fair, some of the most fun I've had with the game is training drone skills for my Velator, ratting highsec belts for that sweet dessie upgrade.
The fun stopped after about Drones II for the training queue.

Bonus idea: Even add a +some_stats to the Cyno Modules so if a Cyno is fitted and you are cloaked, it's easier to be probed with the above mentioned launcher. And while at it add a rig that makes you totally unprobable even when you are cloaked, but it's then impossible to fit a Cyno with the rig.
Result: Someone who's active and Covops Cloaked can warp around and it won't be possible to scan down that ship (long scan time etc). But someone who's AFK cloaking will be possible to be probed . And a ship without a cyno will also be quite hard (or impossible?) to scan down. I could actually think that it would be good if it was possible to scan a cloaked raptor who's scouting your staging system all day long and be able to get rid of it but it's a fine balance to make it possible to evade some hunters by cloaking up when traveling in hostile space.
This would require active game play by the Cloaker, and it would require active game play by the locals, rather than as it's been suggested before, an iHub Ping that decloaks everyone every X minutes.

Let's say you are in Amarr fw.
You go to the beacon and there's an Amarr battleship there. You defend it from minmatar fw guys for X amount of time and get a big LP bonus.
Just some sort of system where there's an objective visible to anyone who's looking for a fight, that also has some a significant payoff. Something that is "farmable" in an active way instead of waiting for market orders or orbiting an MTU.

I don't know about ore or ice, but with 1 prospect and t2 harvesters, it takes almost exactly 1 hour to fill your hold, which is 1000 units of cytoserocin. eve-central tells me a high tier one like viridian is 90k per unit, so 90 mil per hour per prospect, but you don't have an infinite supply.
I don't know all the gas sites, and I've not seen an up to date list, just fuzzwork. I was doing some gas in cloud ring, which is viridian cyto. the sites I remember were frosty nebula, which was just 1000 units, and an easily tankable rat spawn, polar bear nebula, which I don't know how much gas it had, because it seemed to have as many rats as a L4 mission, so you'd need to clear it first, and the best one was a pale nebula, which had either 3000 or 4000 units I can't remember, and no rats, but an easily passive tanked smartbomb thing
I don't know if it's the same in other regions or what. I once did a golden cyto site in lonetrek which had no rats or damage or anything

a while ago i counted out the time i was taking maintaining my pi setup and was making about 250m/h of effort. that's almost completely reliable money, barring market crashes or getting my hauler ganked, which is more than i'd make in incursions even ignoring time spent on waitlist. it's hard to compare to exploration money given scanning time, which i've never really recorded over an extended period. it's also more than i make running c3 sites with a solo rattle, though it is less than you can make in c5 sites with multiple rattles.
also i'm not doing a super tricky setup - it's pretty braindead - and i do it slowly. it could be done quite a bit smarter and faster for a better isk/hr figure.

Well I'd say that really was them just experimenting with how to motivate their players to play. They probably analysed a significant portion of people logging in, killing 1 rat then docking up and logging off again. Not much different from logging in, seeing their corp chat is completely dead then logging off again.
I really think alts have a lot to answer for regarding the compartmentalisation and breaking down of EVE in to smaller parts that are less cohesive and less interactive. Once you remove the need for other humans you might as well be playing a singleplayer game.

When such an event occurs, both sides of the entire supply chain will be affected. Trit for an example, a stifling happens (somehow magically, but anyway) and prices are squeezed to very tight margins (difference of top buy and top sell orders is 1%).
Well, the solution is quite fucking simple actually. The mining corps that dump Trit no longer have to play undercutting and can directly dump their entire Trit stockpile to buy orders, as the difference of them waiting for hours for sell orders to fill and directly filling buy orders is a mere 1%. Moreover, a part of the current sell orders for Trit decide that they've had enough of waiting for them to fill and simply dump it.
That way, the spread is widened from both sides and the reasonable "balance" is restored.
