You can actually invade their cities and kill their npcs and level in horde areas (even though all the npcs will be hostile ot you).

The game is essentially a solo RPG now so you shouldn't have too much trouble. If you're running some of the older raids on your own you might have to bring a buddy due to some fucked mechanics if you don't feel like slogging through some RNG (Chess event at kara for example) but otherwise you should be okay. If you're just talking about dungeons and overworld quests you shouldn't have any trouble at all.

Take everything here with a grain of salt for two reasons

We don't have artifacts, we aren't 110, on top of that the launch of expansions usually feature tuning related to specs if they are underperforming. It's the whole point of delaying the raids. Most opinions right now are formed as of pre-patch meaning they are not complete. You get a good feel for how the class is going to play currently but it's not the final appearance.

Secondly viability is a shitty argument, for normal and heroic raids its more important you aren't a fucking idiot and can stay alive as opposed necessarily to the damage you are putting out. FOTM shitters that die standing in fire because their eyes are glued to damage meters will infinitely be more annoying than someone who may not be playing the FOTM class but is actually doing their best to perform to the classes strengths.

That's my opinion.

There is literally 0 reason why DK shouldn't be the #1 dps on a Patchwerk by a wide margin. Those fights barely ever happen anymore and on every other fight the DK won't be allowed to unload anyway.

Which is also why melee should have patchwerk damage higher than all ranged, always and forever. Because most of the time they won't be allowed to deal that damage consistently.

Warlock can talent into running real fast for health or the teleportation circle.
Which makes sense as Warlock should obviously be the class without baseline peels or mobility. It fits the class fantasy of a caster that facetanks everything 24/7.

What gets to me the most about warlocks after the pre-patch isn't the fact that we're kinda lame damage wise; that shit can change in a small patch. What gets to me is how they fucking gutted the class in terms of flavour despite all their nonsense about "class fantasy". Metamorphosis was taken and given to DHs who also got demonic despite warlocks being the demon experts; literally demonology. Then they removed Burning Embers from destro aswell as the fiery effect and gave it to fire mages instead. Then the other specs lost their soul shards and blood elf warlocks lost their verdant spheres. They also stuck a bunch of our previous baseline abilities into the talent tree, more so than most other classes who still got a lot of fresh shit.

I can deal with being weak for a patch or two but seeing my class' so called fucking "class fantasy" gutted in favour of fucking fire mages and demon hunters is just sad.

No, you're supposed to use souls to empower your spells and not wait until shards allow you to actually go through with your rotation.
In an ideal world the Warlock would burn shards for a dps boost every now and then, and not just to cast their only hard hitter.
It makes absolutely no sense for any spec that isn't Demonology. And Demonology is actually consistent in shard generation, even if it feels like you're building combo points for an Eviscerate of Gul'dan.

I don't disagree; I never played demonology a lot. It's the principle that matters in the sense that it all piles up. Warlocks had a lot of their shit taken away and given to other classes.

Here's another thing they did; not update destruction spell effects that much and even less if you had fel fire. Fel fire which doesn't even matter for any spec BUT destro now because reasons; not even Demonbolt which does chaos damage and is half shadow - half fire visually has had its orange fire effect replaced.

Atleast Drain Life matches my transmog.

I was in a guild and he was the GM. It took me a while to get some sense into my head and run for the fucking hills. The guild itself was miserable. I find it's best to follow the group, they usually go for the bosses in a particular order, you'll learn it as you do more invasions.

If it's a horde zone and people are ganking, then just keep at a distance and swoop in to tag when the bosses are nearly dead, I'm not sure if you can tag and leave, but you can tag and hang back, if two are nearby tag both.

If you die, it erases your tag and you'll get zero exp. So watch out for ganking and don't let the boss kill you.

The design for bosses in Hellfire Citadel probably wouldn't have been different if the addon change was made earlier in Warlords.
One of the concerns raised by players is boss mechanics that are designed around addons and otherwise impossible.
Internal testing for raids is done without custom boss mods for each boss and the mechanics. The bosses can be beat with the stock UI.
