Why? First of all the player who used this most certainly should not get cards back. What better way to fuck your opponent over then by wiping the field and setting two face downs. As for the opponent, he is allowed to use any effects he wants that turn, unlike the CED player; negation effects, graveyard effects, etc. Assuming they even let CED get summoned and live long enough to activate his effect at all. ABC with A equipped, Towers, and some others also laugh at this guy.

Blue Eyes White Dragon.dek: A deck that summons big beaters and attacks. It doesn't do bullshit like the other decks and is actually bearable to play against.

BA's are good because of 3 cards, basically.
They have Speedroid Terrortop. If you control no monsters, you can SS it from hand then search another speedroid. One speedroid can SS itself if you control another WIND monster, so Terrortop = Dante.
Phantom Knights of Break Sword is a R3 Scrap Dragon that can revive other PK cards when it is destroyed and make them level 4 for a Rank 4 Play.
The last card is Beatrice. You discard 1 BA to make her off of a Dante. 2500/2800. A quickplay Foolish, so you can send farfa or Alich to disrupt. She also floats into the Fusion Dante.

Kozmos are separated like this.
They have Psychic "pilots" and Machine "ships". Any Pilot has a quickplay effect to banish itself as cost to summon another Kozmo with higher level. Most machines have an On summon effect. When machines are destroyed, they banish themselves then float into a lower level Kozmo monster. Their boss, Kozmo Dark Destroyer, pops 1 monster on summon and is untargettable. They have a field spell that recycles banished cards, muligans and floats.

You can do crazy combos with them, but the best way to play them is to use Card of Demise, which lets you draw until you have 3 cards in hand then during the EP discard them all, also, no special summoning. You set traps like CotH and use Card of Demise to get shit into the graveyard and set up for next turn with 5 backrow.

Pic related is a BA build, over a month old according to the last edited timestamp. Missing whatever janky techs came up in the last two months.

The pendulum mashup is kinda hard to explain, because three different decks (performapal, magicians, majespecters) + a lot of pendulum goodstuff ended up all getting crammed together because each group got hit by the list, and before that performages got completely destroyed by the list for good reason.

tl;dr with them is that the performapal part blows up stuff to plus and then summon back via pendulum abuse, the magician part combo's with that and odd-eyes shit, and the majespecter part brings stun (most importantly Kirin). Add in good generics like magical abductor, dracoslayer/dracoverlord and their extra deck counterparts, archfiend eccentrick, and whatever engines you can fit in (some guy did really well at my regionals with an arma engine to dump zeph and heiress) and you can have really interesting strategies. I would post my own list, but its old and kinda sucks.

Monarchs center around the new support they got in the structure. Pantheism of the Monarchs is discard 1 Monarch S/T draw 2. You can banish it to reveal 3 Monarch S/T, opp adds one to hand. They have Monarchs Stormforth, which is a quickplay that allows you to use opponents monsters as tribute fodder.
The Prime Monarch is a cont trap card that can recycle 2 monarch S/T to draw 1, and in the grave you can banish 1 S/T to summon it as a level 5 2400 wall.

Ehther is a new monarch, 2800/1000. She can banish 1 monarch s/t to tribute summon in the opponent's turn. On summon, she can send 2 monarch S/T to SS one monarch statline card from the deck. She summons Kuraz, who can pop your other cards or just itself to gain advantage.

Erebus allows you to discard a monarch S/T to add a monarch statline card back to hand, and on summon sends 2 S/T to grave to shuffle away 1 card in opponent's hand, field or grave (Doesn't target).

Between Erebus and Stormforth Ehther, the deck does a ton of disruption, Prime stops OTKs, and their new tribute fodder give them more normal summons and recycle banished S/T to create the perfect engine.

Blue-Eyes are different. They got >>152637915 as well as a few new cards. One is a normal summon monster that searches for other level 1 light tuners, and can discard himself to target 1 monster, send it to grave then SS a BEWD card from deck. One is a stone retrain that can banish itself to add a BEWD from grave to hand+during the EP it summons a BEWD from deck, and the last relevant one is a dude that can grab back tuners from the grave and send 1 effect monster to summon a BEWD from grave.
The deck uses Blue Eyes Alternative Dragon, Melody of Awakening Dragon (Discard 1 add 2 cards with BEWD statline), Trade In, Dragon Shrine to get shit in grave, then uses Soul Charge and Return of the Dragon Lords (Level 7 or 8 Dragon Monster reborn, can banish itself to protect dragons.) to revive them and make plays.

The main play is summoning Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, a level 9 Synchro. It can negate graveyard effects, stops simultaneous summons (So no pendulum summon for more than 1 at a time) and tribute itself to summon a LIGHT dragon from extra deck.

You use spirit to float into things like Azure-Eyes Spirit Dragon or Stardust Spark Dragon defensively, and use the new expanded R8 toolbox + Dark Matter Dragon for offensive measures or spell negation, attempting to win games with your army of level 8 3k beaters. Since the on summon Eyes of Blue monster searches veiler, you can disrupt, but not as much as the other decks.

Holy shit. I took some time to read about the speedroid engine in BA and it's no wonder they made a comeback.

Beatrice is like the icing on the abyss cake.

Kozmos actually look quite interesting to me. I like their play style concept of a quick banish. And destroyer's untargettable destroy is quite good.

I'm going to look into this pendulum mashup. It sounds like a ton of variety. Like you said it sounds like you can have really interesting strategies and put in different engines in the mashup. I like that.

The starting LP needs to be bumped up to like 10k at least.
It was good when people had trouble getting two monsters on the field in one turn but now most decks can kill you in one or two turns.

I managed to find a build for pendulums I had that wasn't the practice for the my poor irl build. Sorry for late reply friendo, went to bed. What makes the deck strong is the ability to deal with next meta threats without going for the side( and making siding even stronger) and the ability to power through backrow. I think they'll be a cheap rouge deck if you don't want to invest in the pricer stuff in the TCG

A level 4 mermail to set up additional shark plays, 1 linde for the sphere, everything else is to feed the discard engine.

You could cut a kaiju to drop to 64% chance to open with a kaiju card if you want but the ratios have been working very well for me.

Side is fairly typical and to combat things i'll be going against, BE/ABC/Dark Law etc.

vs ABC i side in the triple system down and triple ogre and side out mouling, leed, linde, sphere, 1 gunde and 1 infantry. Because kaijus are maindecked you don't have to pray to draw into a side card, they have a absolutely great match up against them.

vs blue eyes it's triple reader and triple iron wall, same cards are sided out with the exception of infantry which you replace for marksman. This match is harder but they can do well.

Also goyo while being an absolutely garbage card is there because it's a beatstick. I remember facing a metalfoes deck and i cleaned up everything but bunbuku because i couldn't target it and lost because he had 400 LP next round. Decided to check the level 6 synchros and there he was with 400 more attack to ensure an OTK.

Also learning the discard combos to setup mouling is a must if you end up in a position going first( you don't want that)
