As I'm playing the game I get the impression that Skelige was originally a lot more cold, barren and dry than it is now.

Like Yennefer says the garden allows stuff to grow because of magic, but outside the garden there is a very diverse forest and flowers


And some NPC's will say they pluck feathers because they can't find flowers, but there are flowers growing everywhere in the village

Just played through the Isle of Mists and Battle of Kaer Morhen for probably the last time.

The upsides
>Reuniting with Ciri is probably still the most emotional moment in any game. I still almost choke up a little over that and the reunion at Kaer Morhen
>The fight is still very pretty

Downsides
>Now that there's no EE for a certainy, Iorveth's absence stings
>The fight is entirely too easy, even with Death March and level scaling. Leads to no urgency
>Lack of polish. No new dialogue from Hjalmar, no real big moments in the sun for the Non-Witcher characters besides Keira and Zoltan
>The sequence is now glitched. The "save Lambert in the courtyard" and "save Triss by the gates" objectives never even appeared for me

It's sad going into the last really good part of the game knowing the rest will never be fixed, really. It's no Mass Effect 3, by any means. But in a way, how much better the rest of the game is makes the unworthy last Act hurt even more. It was so CLOSE to being perfect.

It breaks her heart and if you keep rubbing it in her face, yeah, she'll be quite mad. Takes it better than you might otherwise expect though. At least if you're familiar with the backstory. (Triss helped frame Yen for treason and refused to save Geralt from an assassin because the Lodge told her not to. Last they met she was escorting her back to Rivia to keep her from Ciri and escaping before the Lodge could sell Ciri to Tancred Thyssen for breeding)

I'd argue that he didn't really change much in TW3, they just forgot to explore most of his character. The madness is clearly brewing as you go through the games, but you get such short glimpses it feels abrupt.The reality of his situation would drive a number of people to varying degrees of mental illness. But his abusive childhood and highly stressful adult life are mostly just mentioned in passing.

Radovid and Philippa have a hugely interesting relationship and it's a crime they were both jipped so bad in the last game.

I think it illustrates that there comes a time when so much content has been cut you'd be better off removing the quest line altogether.

It makes him unpredictable. He takes insane risks. But he also knows how to gauge which ones are most likely to pay off. That said, I think he's not quite as batshit crazy as people read. There is a sort of sense to his speech there, once you get past the bizarre word choice and strange thought patterns. He's just clearly in a place where he either no longer knows or no longer cares how he comes off to other people.

I loved the way he ended it though. That "Do you understand what I mean?" A simple phrase, but the tone of voice is melancholy. Almost plaintive. Like he really does care. Wants someone to see things the way he does.

Then he dismisses it. Because he's mad and subject to strange whims.

I think you're not giving enough credit to dumb college girls. It's one thing to have a drunken one night stand with an amnesiac guy you have a crush on, but completely another to enter into a relationship with him, withhold any information about his past, claim that he should try to regain his memories on his own and stalk him all while manipulating him into staying with you. The fact that she quickly changes her stance once he starts regaining his memories and offers to help shows that she knows full well that she was in the wrong.

I don't think Triss was ever in it for power, she want to do good, but she is weak and desperately craves approval among her peers. Them treating her like a child might have something to do with that.

Triss will definitely be under Tancred, but the mages she saved and organized hold loyalty to her. Besides, they all share a common goal in keeping Kovir strong and independent. Mages already tried going against the monarchs and it backfired, Triss accepts that working with them is a better way to secure the well being of mages.

Turn off the part of the Ciri mod that removes her whore-makeup because that's canon. Otherwise you're good to go. Though I'd recommend a mostly vanilla run first. Also the game is much harder in the beginning than it ends up later, so might want to avoid sidequests for a bit initially.

Things seem to be working very well so far based on what Triss is saying in B&W, they learned the value of freedom, as long as Kovir is prosperous and accepting for them, they will know how to appreciate it.

It's not really fair to compare Triss to Phil or Vilgefortz, they aren't really in the same league. I doubt Philippa cared about Triss' opinions much when she launched her plan and Triss was too much of a coward to stand up to her. Triss is weak, but not evil.

Everything she does is because of Dijkstra, the King of Beggars, and later Geralt. She barely avoids dying due to her naiveté and incompetence. She only goes to the Witch Hunter's barracks because she admittedly had a poor understanding of what actually happened there. Afterwards she's so terrified of getting caught she won't help the mages escape using the planned route without Geralt escorting her. Even then the first minor setback has her literally screaming "ALL IS LOST"

No, everything she does is guided by her desire to help out the mages. She is forced to work with various people and do them favors, but Geralt also does that. Even much smarter and more powerful sorceresses got captured by Radovid, her fears are legit. Triss is not a natural born leader, it doesn't come easy for her, but she is the only one that cares. Most other sorceresses only care about saving their own asses. Triss could easily do that, and yet she chooses to stay in Novigrad and risk her life for others.

Just a little Praise for CD Project Red

I booted up the game and just stared at the main menu for several minutes. I realize there's more graphical detail in the menu screen (where Geralt is sitting at a campfire) then some full games have. The amount of love that they have put into every inch of this game and details is just mind blowing. We all know this but CD Projekt Red is awesome. That's all. Bye.
