Chun Li does most things Birdie does better.
Both are neutral oriented characters with strong buttons. I enjoy that so I always considered playing one of the two.
But Chun Lis shit feels so much better. Her stuff is faster while having a similar range. And she has a pretty strong fireball.
She has less overall damage but she has much more opportunities to get any damage in because she can even link out of crouching jabs into mediums into specials/trigger/super.
Birdies biggest flaw right now is probably his walkspeed. Chun has amazing walkspeed. She can actually do grab shenanigans better than him because of that, you just lose access to a command throw, which is alright.

I just think she is mostly better at what he does if you disregard all of his gimmicks, and his gimmicks dont work on a higher level anyways, few exceptions aside.

Anyone east coast wants to play Revelator?

Ah k, I'm having trouble picking a main myself. Was playing Rog but hes a hassle to play when everyone constantly jumps in. His 250 meterless CC punish is nice though. I wish you could just select random for favorite character, it would make the game far less stressful.

I saw SonicFox at a grocery store in Ducktales the other day. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn't want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

When she took one of the salt packs and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually "to prevent any reset infetterence," and then turned around and winked at me. Also, something I noticed: people gives Capcom shit for being "inconsistent" for the characters quality in V, but I noticed there were some visual differences between the character sprites in 3S as well. If you play C or H moon you also have the airdodge which is used in the air game.
Also some characters have more air movement options. Hime is one like Brick said and Warachia is another.
There are also many normals and specials that change your positioning or momentum in air.

It's almost as if the team they hired worked on making this incredible experience with the expanding stages and high level of detail. All the stages were supposed to have some brief unique gimmick to it, but the execs at capcom forced the team to shit out the rest of the stages in record time, never having really finished them. This is probably also why the game won't look all that much better than SFIV.

Meanwhile at "HQ", they manage to scrounge up a netcode of sorts that seems to only half work. Either way, the big wigs have already threw out too much advertising and now they need a product to make their return for their idiotic move.


Thus we got SFV:
-Half the characters missing on launch
-Little to no change in stage interactability and detail
-online is working for some but not for others
-game is riddled with design oversight and balance issues
-new characters (Laura, FANG) are uninteresting and/or not fun to use

Not a lot of new things are being introduced and it's starting to bore a lot of people. It seems like Capcom is more than happy to charge us for every little effort they make as well.

Juri in SFV seems so out of place. SFV is a game that rewards simple playstyle and solid fundamentals, and Juri is a character that goes a bit beyond SF rules with GG-like chain combos and charge fireball gimmicks for the price of overall low damage output (unless you go for CA combos, which is surprisingly better than her SFIV U2). I guess a similar thing could be said about Ibuki and FANG.

Also her fireball is basically Birdie's can but much much much worse in almost everyway (regular fireball, V-Trigger fireball is a bit better but has different uses).
