Why doesn't the FGC switch to PC for SFV at least for top 8 or top 64 for bigger tourneys? It's the obviously superiour version with the option to normalize the input delay to amore reasonable level. This was always a reason in the past to switch from PS3 to 360 for sf4 and marvel3 so why not now?

There are still side tournaments for it if you really care. Most of the top players moved on because there's no more money to be made in it. And people followed because that's where the competition is.

It's actually a problem with my controller. The rubber on my 360 pad's analogue stick tore off awhile back from Melee and now I've been using it like this so long that using a non-fucked-up one is hard for me.

Of all the generations of consoles, this one probably has the least justification for the concept. They have no real hardware gimmicks outside of their controllers, and are just glorified PC builds. I divide wakeup options into 4 categories: buttons, block, throw and DP if they have one.
I default to using meaty cr.MP to beat buttons and throws, then mix in a few throws when they start to block or start blocking if they have a DP and they've shown they'll use it.
The problem is smarter players will wakeup DP once or twice and then start wakeup throwing me while I'm blocking in their face and if my meaty gets blocked I don't know how to keep pressure in my favor so I usually throw out a frame trap and if they don't press a button I block because it ends negative. I've started walking up and throwing instead of pressing the st.HP frame trap as a mixup and it sometimes works but I feel like I should still have options to keep pressure even if they're blocking my meaty on wakeup.

Also I have no problem with fireballs. I'll jump over them until I get close enough to V-Skill punish one on reaction and theoretically watch for a jump when I get close but I'm bad and can't AA well.

Best way to practice this is to pick a character with a 3 framer, set the dummy to use it as a reversal, and practice dive kicking the dummy. You should be able to block in time.

As for not getting thrown, you can try neutral jumping, or teching. But if you biff a divekick you have to take their mixup.

Meaty with crouching medium, then go to standing medium. It's a combo, it's a frame trap, it's plus on block.

You can then go to c.mk and push yourself the rest of the way out, or try walking forward and throwing.

To not get thrown on their wake up, walk back and forth a bit. It'll make them nervous, and there's a chance they'll whiff the throw and you get a counterhit combo!
