Archers can actually hit things that aren't on Wings for decent damage for once but that doesn't fix their shit enemy phase which has always been by far their most crippling flaw (honestly if you ask me Archer is by far the most overrated class in Fates)

Eh, while valid, that doesn't make up for the fact that they betrayed the very concept of "nature vs nurture." By having the Avatar not blood-related to the Hoshidan royalty, it makes the "this is your birthright, your blood" side just not exist.

The whole point of it was supposed to be "this is the family that raised you and this is the family that you were born to." There's pull in both directions. Do you side with the people you were born to or side with people who raised you? Instead, what we got is "both sides adopted you but the Hoshidans adopted you first so that's why you should side with them...?"

It seems like a cop out. Trading in something that would actually give tension to the story in favor of being able to waifu/husbando the Hoshidan royals.
