I use a lot of weapons now, but I used GS in Freedom 1, strayed to LS in Freedom 2, and came back to GS. GS is my weaponfu, no matter how many other weapons I play.

Simplest explanation: charge shield, use axe.

1) Go Striker, or Adept if you just can't handle Striker. You want Absolute Readiness, Absolute Evade and Energy Blade.
2) Your first priority is to get a red shield. Do that right away, and don't ever waste it on a super AED (accidents will happen though)
3) Primarily focus on burst 2 or 3 AEDs, look for turn-a-pounds, those guaranteed windows where you can land some head hits. Don't get greedy.

1.) I could be attacking (daimyo is easily headlocked) instead of sitting on my ass and placing traps
2.) daimyo is immune to flash bombs

I started the series with Tri, but skipped 3U. Would it be worth picking up after I'm finished with Gen? Would it matter which platform I got it for?

Avoid P3rd and FU, they're both major downgrades when compared to Tri and 3U. FUckers and sonyggers will try to argue otherwise, but FU is just a bloated mess and all the bland flat maps in Generations? They all come from FU minus Hills.

Also if you like Swimming, P3rd cut that out and didn't replace it with anything so maps like Flooded Forest and Deserted Island were gutted.

hellblade still has pretty good shot hitzones at his head, back, and tail, you just need to be careful not to pass through the body

actually the hbg runs of hellblade 10 use pierce 3 for hellblade and the internal water pierce and siege water for regular (his water hitzone is a whopping 20-30 all over)

I just finished an armor set for a teostra cb. I got bomb boost, evade distance, fast charge, and artillery novice. The artillery is a place holder for something better to gem in. What style and styles is good for charge blade? I went adept since I get dodges and guard points, is there any point using more than one art? Healing Phial seems worthless.

adept and striker are all you need, gp on striker x+a sword mode is useful and the faster art charge lets you spam both absolute evade arts, it ends up being just about as safe as adept
