Removed the ability to parry when using the skills Blind Spot (Corvian Greatknife, Handmaid’s dagger) and Dancer’s Grace (Dancer’s Enchanted Swords)
Adjusted the shield penetration properties of Harpe, Shotel, Crescent Moon Sword, Carthus Shotel, Man Serpent Hatchet and Darkdrift
Fixed a bug where sound effects did not play properly when using Lightning Spears in quick succession
The attack cancel timing for rapiers equipped in the left hand has been adjusted
Several balance issues have been adjusted
Flaws have been fixed to improve performance

Each sigil adds 1 hollowing per death, up to 8 hollowing per death for 8 sigils.

First level is free, gives your first sigil (1 hollowing per death)

Next level is at 2 hollowing (two deaths), now 2 hollowing per death

Next is at 6 hollowing (two deaths), now 3 hollowing per death

Then 12 hollowing (two deaths), 4 hollowing per death

Final is 15 hollowing (one death), five hollowing per death. At 15 or more hollowing, you look like crispy bacon.

I'm looking for a good/fun dex weapon outside of katana and rapiers.

Tried curved greatswords, way too slow and got interrupted a lot.

Tried curved sword, seems i got good damage, also got parried a lot, they could do fine for a secondary wepon tough.

Haven't tested Scythes, but looking at videos they seem awfull.

Any ideas?

That's because you're trying to look for dex weapons by type. Look for weapons that have dex scaling in what is normally a str or Q weapon type and you might find something.

You can try double curved swords, they're pretty fun. Otherwise, spears, yeah, but they're strength and dex.

Maybe great lances and halberds, but they're hard to use in PvP.

What is the most foolproof way to cut Priscilla's tail without potentially fucking the game up? I'm on NG+ and am hoping that using Power Within, Red Tearstone Ring, and Sunlight Blade on my Great Scythe +15 with 40 dex and 50 faith will get me the tail in one shot without killing her, but I don't know. I'd hate to lose this character.

66 STR + 2hand is the only proper way to play the game.
I oneshot most things on NG+3. The big enemies get staggered almost (or sometimes literally) instantly, and then riposted for all their health.
Shit's fun as fuck.

Frostbite lowers stamina regen, all defenses, and does 200 damage. It's slightly better than people think it is, but it still isn't good enough to try doing on purpose.

Most bosses can be poisoned/toxiced, it just takes a while. Applying both will rack up tons of damage.

Hey /dsg/, I'm playing Dark Souls III for the first time. I haven't played a Dark Souls game since the release of Scholar of the First Sin (I'm gonna get to Bloodborne after Dark Souls III)

I played as Deprived, which is what I do in every Souls game. I wanted to do a spear build later on.

I am getting my ass fucking kicked.

Is DSIII just harder than the other games? Is Deprived much weaker in this game? Or am I just shit after so little practice? Or both? I'm just having almost as much trouble as around the first time I played Dark Souls (though not quite that bad).

Should I re-roll and play as a Knight to get myself back into the game, or should I just get gud and grit my teeth.

Nah. Deprived takes more damage because no armor but you can solve this as soon as you hit shrine.
Playing as Knight will spoil the game, good armor and starting weapon, you literally can't go wrong with a straight sword in pve.

If you're still naked, you should fix that. You get a huge defense penalty in 3 for not having something equipped on your armour slots, so just buy the chainmail stuff to fill the empty slots.

Deprived is fine beyond that. DaS3 is generally harder that previous games because its faster paced and enemies are more aggressive, but the player character is also much stronger as well. You can stunlock most things to death as long as you manage your stamina well

Yes and no. Basically, Dark Souls 3 controls the flow of your gameplay tighter than any other Souls game, so you can't really accidentally end up at Rapetown where you aren't supposed to go since doing things out of sequence is hard / impossible in DS3.

Also, the game limits your access to upgrade materials so you can't do shit like go farm large titties early on, you'll have to make do with +3 / +4 until you're 30% done with the game.

Like the other anons have said, the enemies in Dark Souls 3 are more aggressive and faster, the mob encounters in general are set up in a crafty manner that they're deadlier, but enemies also for the most part aren't annoying hp sacks, they go down reasonably fast.

Yes. Enemies are significantly more aggressive and a lot of them have quick moves.

I'd recommend picking up a heavier weapon, like an axe or a hammer, that can stun enemies on the first hit. That should make most encounters much easier. Lighter weapons like straight swords and spears require multiple hits before they stun most enemies.

Guy playing first Souls game (DeS) from last thread here. I remember someone saying, before the thread was archived, that I shouldn't be asking people what to do because it ruins the fun. I completely agree but I'm stuck with no online to lend me a hand, all I got is this place.

Anyway, I've killed all the 1st stage bosses (Phalanx, Armored Spider, Fool's Idol, Adjucator, Leechmonger) and also Tower Knight. Someone said that I shouldn't go for VoD 2 or SoS 2 so my choices are ToL 2 (which I am stuck at, fucking Man Eaters can go eat each other's dicks in hell) and ST 2 (haven't tried the boss yet, demotivated by those lava slug things that take forever to kill, and the worms you can only kill with ranged attacks).

What do? I've tried using fire on the Man Eaters, didn't do shit, not to mention I have to heal all the time, and still can't kill the slugs without it taking 5 minutes.

Focus on man eaters, the stonefang area, while not too hard, has a boss who is very infamous. Shrine is quite hard early on, but I see no reason not to do Valley, it's both easy and a boring area.
