Nope. This is a completely terrible idea. It has the potential to incentive padding stats like damage done, healing done, damage blocked etc over actually winning the game. If the game looks like it's going south people are going to try to salvage their rank by padding stats rather than doing what is necessary to win.

Characters like Mei that do a little of everything and have lot's of utility get completely screwed by a stats based system. It's also very possible to have high impact with little damage done if you control a vital sector of the map for example. And yet a stats based performance system doesn't take that into account.

Both powers are a result of technology and with Tracer she needs a device to use it. So why doesn't Genji count (especially since Reaper is barely human anymore too)? S76 has lowkey powers as well that's mostly mentioned in lore descriptions like how he moves faster and hits harder than a normal human should but the latter will never show up in-game because melee does shit damage unless you have a melee weapon. I already do that. For instance Reinhardt is rated for damage blocked (lol), so if my team is winning I'll intentionally try to make them spam my shield so I can actually get some damaged blocked in, because if you roll your opponents as Reinhardt you gain literally fucking nothing.

It's ironic, but when you play Reinhardt you want really dragged out games so you have time hitting 20k damage blocked.

Another fun MMR abuse I've found is playing Ana on attack payload. Strictly speaking inferior to Zen+Lucio, but since so many people suck balls at Ana and drop her over Zen/Lucio, her sample size is skewered, so it's really easy to "look good" when you play Ana.

Since attack payload isn't on stopwatch, it's fine taking a minute extra or so to finish the map, and you'll get like 25% more MMR than if you had been playing Lucio or Zen.
