Actually it's a completely different story.
People didn't migrate from k1 as much as they hadn't started.
K2 was announced 10 days after nost closed, and k1 had a 7x exp boost which turned people off.

People only hopped because it was a fresh start on a server that didnt have exp boosts but mostly because they were displaced from nostalrius.

People are established on k2 and there is no reason for them to hop when elysium isn't even doing pre nerf items. If kronos just shut down maybe it would be a similar situation but normies don't want to reroll 1x for the third time in 1.5 years just to raid mc again.

Plus legion is coming out soon, aq40 on k1 and bwl on k2. Looks like elysium will be pretty dead

No, it's real but a lot of the nonsense here is ironic.
Valk is a very old russian server that has pretty decent scripting - people here will argue since this is a k2 general but anywhere else people will tell you it's considered good. The big issue with it is that it's russian and 7 years old.
Elysium is a new fresh start server focusing on being international rather than russian, enforcing english in main channels and all that. It's launching at a dumb time (in my opinion) but the devs seem sincere and it does look good so far. Again, people here are invested in their 60s so they will talk shit, but nearly anywhere else you'll see it looked upon generally favorably - tho the nost refugees have mostly moved on and legion is about to launch.

TLDR: it's real and if it can get the pop it will be pretty good. I doubt it can get a big enough pop unless very good work of mouth after launching, but time will tell. There is a very dedicated shiller/shitposter here from sweden but more than him are cautiously hopeful for Elysium.

While the best thing around, Kronos has its share of small but annoying mistakes (mostly damage tables are all messed up)

People want to know if elysium will fix said mistakes, if it will have good devs, if it will have stable servers, etc.

If it proves to be outright better, people might migrate, but we really dont know yet. Anyone with a strong opnion on any side is probably biased and shoulnt be trusted.
