as it stands no you can assign some skirt bones to them so they will just follow the physics of a dangling tail. Of course I mean stuff like the demon tail, not the bunny tail.

Nothing is easy with no experience, but you don't get experience without working on something.
The first thing you could try is adding some bones from a skirt to the tails and seeing how well they take. This needs to be done in a modelling program I think. Then they'd need a bps file set up so that gravity physics affect them, but bps files of so few bones shouldn't be hard to set up.

The real challenge I think will come from whether using skirt bones will have unsatisfactory results, so you'd have to make your own bones.

Blender and Maya are free and are not user friendly, but support many common file types.

It shouldn't matter because your AA2 personalities work fine and ML affects those. Check whether you have no-dim installed(audio files and the dialog) by talking to some AA2 girl. If it still dims during convo(it dims after her line regardless) then your no-Dim installed correctly.

Well I talked with the aa2 girls and they talk to me just fine with no dim and everything. It seems to be the AA1 personalities. So I don't know I tried reinstalling the no dim compatibility again and nothing. So my guess its something to do with the patch because I wouldn't be able to see the personality if the hexa PP was installed.

install HEXAPP (check if No Dim still works and personalities don't default to Sweet)

When are you testing things?If you have working NoDim with standalones, just remove all standalone personality files (move to a different folder, don't delete) then install HEXAPP and its nodim patch. It allows you replacing a particular .xx with another .xx so if you know what you want to replace with what you can redirect the game to use it. For example if you want to replace hair extension 25 with side hair 13 you just find the files in the corresponding .pps and input their paths. The interface is not user-friendly because you can't browse stuff with it but it allows replacing everything with anything.

It's saved to the card but can only be used with AAUnlimited. There are basically 2 types of replacement: replace with a loose file and replace with a file from some .xx. Afaik the data that is appended to the card is basically a relative filepath so as long as they have the necessary files in the same locations(easy when you replace something with hair from HEXAOC, for example, because everyone has the hairs in the same place). The Unlimited data can be overwritten with stuff like editing a card without AAUnlimited, probably AASnowflake and ReiEdit.

I meant if you try to edit Unlimited cards with ReiEdit, AA2Snowflake or regular maker it will erase the data because they're not aware of it. Shows how to replace a build in a card by card basis using the Thicker Thighs and Ass mod.

You can replace hairs with the very same method, you just have to go to "Archive File Overrides" and put the archive name followed by the file names.

e.g.

Archive File
jg2e02_0#_00.pp

02_00_00 = Front Hairs
02_01_00 = Side Hairs
02_02_00 = Back Hairs
02_03_00 = Extensions

Direct file inside the .pps you can input:
AS00_2#_##_00.bps

20_XX_YY Front Hairs
21_XX_YY Side Hairs
22_XX_YY Back Hairs
23_XX_YY Extension

XX is the hair number and YY whether it's flipped or not (00 not flipped, 01 flipped).

So if you set an archive file override as:

jg2e02_03_00.pp -> jg2e02_01_00.pp
AS00_23_01_00.bps -> AS00_21_01_00.bps
AS00_23_01_00.xa -> AS00_21_01_00.xa
AS00_23_01_00.xx -> AS00_21_01_00.xx

you'd get side hair #1 replacing the Extension #1 hair (the ahoge) when you try to load the ahoge in the editor.

SBPR and Honey Select unironically have the best character creator in the industry. Sure it's missing one or two things that some previous games had, but it has so many sliders, so many options and so much stuff you can do with it. The bodies also look really good, and there's even a surprisingly good amount of customization for males.

Without hair sliders you're forced into a limited number of these silhouettes, so you end up with same-y characters and no way around it besides adding entire new hairs to the game.

You're exaggerating the amount of difference a hair length slider makes. The vast majority of hairs do not change much whether they are at 0 or 100 length, and at 255 most of them just break completely or jump uncontrollably because AA2's hair physics are very sensitive. There's also more to character design than just the hair, which is where the customization that SBPR and HS have shine. You have many different sliders to customize and tons of clothes and accessories (which can actually be moved around individually, something which in AA2's case is fixed) to play dress up with. Even if they share the same hairs, a girl wearing a fancy dress and a girl dressing like a slut give off entirely different impressions.

You're right about the number of unique hairs, though. AA2 has an insane amount of hairs that probably only 3D Custom Girl can match. That's one of the strengths it has over its competitors, and I don't think anyone will argue against that. However, you should also note that AA2's gameplay is vastly different from SBPR's and Honey Select in one way, and that is the number of characters. If AA2 had limited hairs, it would have been a bigger problem than either of those games having limited hairs. That's actually one of the areas that CM3D2 gets shit for, because even though the personalities themselves have a ton of lines, there's only 5 of them right now and you have 6 slots for maids on the daily schedule.

I should probably clarify that accessories can be moved, not clothes. To elaborate, you have a few slots (5 in SBPR, 10 in HS) to put any accessory you want from a variety of categories. Some of them are hair accessories, others are face accessories, body accessories and whatever else. You can then move them around, rotate them and change their size on X, Y and Z planes. There is a limit to the values, but it's usually not a problem outside of trying to put foot accessories on the character's head.

You can make as many characters as you want (they are saved as cards, similar to AA2). The thing is that SBPR and HS weren't made for an entire class of 25 characters to interact with each other, in fact HS seems to be focused on 1-on-1 interaction between the player and the girl you choose to interact with. In SBPR, you have a large (but really shitty) open world where you can add characters to the world and, depending on their personality, they will do different things at different times of day. However, there's only 5 personalities to choose from (which are also all shit, by the way) and the entire script for each of them probably doesn't even exceed 100 lines. HS has 10 personalities, 5 returning from SBPR with new lines and 5 new, but they added individual traits and fetishes to develop them a bit.

In short, what I'm trying to say is that SBPR and HS are much smaller in scale than AA2, and thus the hair problem is lessened.

And it sort of can add a bps where doesn't exist. If you have a hair that has no physics in it, specify its bps filename and point AA2Unlimited the file to replace it.

I've imported cards I use with AA2Unlimited because many of the characters I wanted to make needed overrides, and I never had issues with borking Unlimited data. The hair overrides were in place just fine.

If you run hardlinker at least once it already removed all the folders it affects(or everything if you're on older version). That edit will remove all the folders linker creates and fails to make a new link so it's pretty much cleans itself this way. If you had, for example skirt205(miko) it will remove it as well but any folders not affected by it will still be there. I don't think there's a way to distinguish between regular folders and junctions other than seeing whether it has a shortcut mark on it.

Illusion had a brilliant idea of creating a folder for each outfit where you can add custom textures for skirt and pantsu. A "brilliant" idea was to have you make a copy for each outfit. They didn't expect 200 more outfits than the base game ships so it will bloat your folder by hundreds of gigabytes if you did it their way. Hard linker utilizes the junction mechanism that let you link to the same files for every identical skirt## folder so that you have only one copy of a skirt texture taking up space. the Mega also includes the textures in correct folder structure so consider it a hexapack for skirt/pantsu textures.
