In 4U I used GS, LS, DB, HH, IG, CB and Bow decently, but it's been a while since that, so I might have lost the touch.

It's not a 3DS title. Last year was the only other time the MH title forecast was another unannounced title and they specifically mention that it's a 3DS title to bolster confidence.

This year they didn't say it's going to be a 3DS title. There's no reason to not announce the title when it's this late into the year if it's a 3DS title.

Maybe, but, again, all the rust/worn weapons are dragon element based. Prime example being the Undertaker/Skyscraper Lance, shares very similar aesthetics with the Artian designs.

The closest thing in design to it with thunder attack otherwise was the Gyrelance Gunlance, which is meant to be built out of a hollowed out rusted/worn Lance, and that was paralyze on it. And only for MH4U at that.

Consummate Pair definitely, even on the Toka Set 25% extra affinity from shaga DBs is only around 10% boost in raw and 8.75% boost in element. I'd say Consummate Pair also has a slighly better sharpness pattern.

Considering how easy it is to get high affinity and how WE works, GS could probably get away without using CritDraw in this game. Near the end of the last thread we went over Dreadking, Grimclaw, and Silver Sol as possible candidates for such a charm.

Kind of in the same ordeal, I'm not so sure on what I'd like to go for either. There is more to Guild GS than the draw attack after all.

Definitely, there is the standard speedrun bladeset of Feather/Sol/Sol/Vaike/Sol gives Crit Boost/Crit Eye + 2/ WE without a charm and has one extra slot. You can fit in something like Focus or Razor Sharp with a max charm. Set sucks ass if you're shit at hitting weakzones though.

I do believe that the title should be "favorite" instead of "top" but that's his choice and he clarifies it in almost every video.

It's the 2nd best non-pierce elemental ice lbg, and it's the strongest that rapid fires normal level 2, but the deviation makes it shit. it's impossible to hit smaller weakpoints (like kut-ku's face) because your shots don't go in a straight line.

Amatzu's is the best choice for non-pierce ice.

It rapids dragon level 2, which you only get 5 of (and can't make more), and shrapnel shots. (which both have long and higher wait times)
You might as well be playing HBG at this point. you're gonna be out of rapid fire ammo in a few seconds and you'll be literally throwing peas at the monster. At least with HBG you'd be doing damage.

If you REALLY want to rapid dragon, use garuga's

Silver Semi auto is better for pierce flame lv2, but it's one of the better ones that rapid normal level 2, but it doesn't have a slot. IIRC unless you have a god charm, you'll need that slot.

Yeah, you should consider both pierce element and element rapid fire.
Some monsters like Savage Jho get absolutely destroyed by thunder pierce, but on a monster that isn't very big/has isolated elemental hitzones (like stonefist) thunder s would be better

What's a good Absolute Evade/Absolute Readiness/Enraged Guard Lance set to use?

I am currently using the full Silverwind Nargacuga set, and with Weakness Exploit + Narga Weapon i get well past 100% crit chance with 40% increased damage, but i kind of want a set to use with the Hellblade Glavenus Lance for faster Arts Gauge.

Is it even worth it in terms of damage? 100% affinity and basically permanently 40% more damage with the Narga Lance might be stronger than Hellblade with Attack Up (L) and such.

If you shoot a thunder pierce shot at his face, you'll hit that 20 hitzone once, hit his body for that 10 hitzone, then hit his shell for 0.
if you shoot a thunder pierce at his claw (when not at the side of it) you'll hit his claw for 20, hit his wrist for 10, then hit his shell for 0
His right legs are thin as fuck, so you'll only land one of the thunder pierce hits, maybe two if you manage to catch both legs.

People said this but I just cant seem to make it work. I even bring extra ammo for crag. It doesn't feel like im killing faster than other weapon types or elemental LBG. I mean getting 3 KOs is fine and all but it doesn't feel stronger. Maybe I should be combining it with LBB/LBB+ when its knocked down or something.

Also in regards to those fire LBG. I made the Blossomayhem L2 in the hopes that the DLC for hyper raths come out soonish. Is its elemental pierce not worth using at all since its not rapid? In that case ill just switch to the best rapid Fire S.

I'm not an LBG expert but pierce elemental shots are hella strong. It's a big bonus to have them be rapid fired but even without they're strong.

Recoil down+2 (paired with silencer)

Artillery expert

If you're fighting something with a huge elemental weakness, just use that element, but if you're fighting something like kirin use the explosions, im sure it'd die faster.

Elemental pierce is extremely strong even without rapid fire, but you only have a limited amount of shots.

Bow is mobile enough that you can simply dodge out of harm's way without any problem, especially with the haste rain art, by using adept you need to stay near the monster or dodge when it's charging at you which usually puts you away from the critical distance, by using guild you get the double backhop which is a lot more useful than an adept evade since it allows you to dodge, have a lvl 3 charge and stay in critical distance.

In my personal experience Teo bow is shit until the last or second to last upgrade.
The power is meh until you upgrade it (which you can't do until high rank volcano) and the shot type is garbage until it's almost done.

I got really lucky early on and found a fighter with piercing + big boomerangs and earplugs + boomerang pro.
This is technically all it needs to be optimal until World's Strongest is available but I search regularly for a better one, hopefully with a trap skill and dung bombs.

It actually makes the most sense for hunters to just be your average joe trained by the Hunter's Guild / Wycademy to their physical peak for several reasons

Firstly, if newbie hunters were completely new to the physical strain of hunting and not just the practical application of their already trained bodies then it would make more sense for their bodies to improve over the course of the game but you can be HR 999 and when you're naked with a starting weapon the only thing that separates you from an actual newbie is your knowledge of the monsters' patterns.

Secondly, the chief of Moga village claimed he was once a hunter when he was younger. If hunters were particularly special or if they were only a specific race of human that is physically stronger than other races then you would think he would stand out more but he and his son blend right in in the village and people don't even make a big deal about him being a retired hunter.
Additionally, his son, while strong because of the physical work he does, is also no different from the average Moga villager and doesn't hesitate to ask for help from the Hunter's Guild even with the weaker species of local monsters.

Thirdly, literally cats can fight monsters and win without permanent injury.

And finally, it just makes sense from a marketing perspective to make it so that the player can see themselves in the hunter's shoes.
