Oryx was a complete shit show. Hyped up to be some ancient evil intergalactic destroyer king and I beat him by jumping on some platforms then running to a black orb. What the fuck were the black orbs and why would they appear to help be beat Oryx on his own ship?

Mechanics are fine if they're some how related to the boss and come from it (like having to hide when Warpriest does it's big attack, that makes sense). But most of this shit just doesn't make fucking sense.

Even Vault of Glass has shit like this and I think Crotas End does (I forget, I did it once and it took like 5 minutes so all I remember from it is running through the dark).

When I say class I mean subclass. But lots of them are shit except for one specific situation.

Bladedancers are shit. Only marginally useful in PVP but other classes do the same thing only better.
Gunslinger is another PVP only class. They get outclassed in PVP though.
Sunsingers only purpose seems to be not having to wait 30s for that respawn time when they die in a raid.
Defender is pure PVE class, and has one viable build that has one use (weapons of light for more damage).

There is lots of classes with perks that have no use at all and should just be replaced.

for pvp im honestly unsure. i hardly ever see people use legendary scouts in pvp.
but, for pve I still believe the Vision of Confluence archetype is still the best for scouts. guns in this archetype have a rof of 37. the 2 most well known guns in this archetype are probably hung jury(dead orbit) and treads upon stars(cabal strike specific loot). other guns include tuonela(gunsmith) and Not like the others(vanguard).
another good archetype of scouts is the rof 27. the known guns that come from here are the cocytus(gunsmith), last extermity(crucible), colovances duty(iron banner) and the badger ccl(vanguard).

the best rolls for these guns include perks like outlaw, triple tap, and firefly. stability perks work well with the rof 37 archetype but arent needed as much in the rof 27 archetype

golgoroth is protecting oryx's light stash. this is (lore wise) where things change drastically. in this fight we are no longer challenging the hive in their way. we are weaponizing light and using it against them.

oryx decides to try to shoot down the guardian running. while he is doing this, he sends ogres(who are supposed to be used as a sacrifice to his worm god) to fight the rest of the guardians. when an ogre dies it leaves it's corrupted light behind. oryx notices this and then sends knights to reclaim that lost light. we stop playing by oryxs rules when we decide to weaponize the corrupted light to kill him
